Birdie Snow

Arkansas Got hit with some pretty heavy snow on Wednesday, we got around 6 or so inches... Birdie Loved playing in the dry powdery snow!

Can you tell she really liked it? Ha, she had a snow beard... Have a great weekend!

What I've been up to

Hello Blogging world! Long time no see!  I've been super busy being lazy..  ha. just kidding!
It's been snowing like crazy here...but I think it's been snowing like crazy everywhere!  check out some of the awesome snow pics i got!

 This photo below won me an amazon gift card for the Editors Choice award from the Capturearkansas.com website! I was super super excited!!

We got another couple of inches yesterday, but it's just not as pretty as it was the last time. 

I've also been busy doing photo shoots.  I've got my portable studio completed and to see the last two shoots I've done you can visit my Photography page

On Tuesday Sean and I loaded up the Horses and headed towards Ft Worth for the Rodeo he was entered in.  We got about 30 miles from Dallas and hit really bad weather.  The roads Iced over and it was really slow driving.  I was looking down at my book when Sean started saying Oh Sh*t over and over and when I looked up we were sliding towards the ditch right at a sign.  The trailer we were pulling made it almost impossible to gain control of the truck and we somehow missed the road sign and somehow Sean kept us from flipping.  I honestly don't know how we didn't flip with the trailer on the back but grass and mud were all the way up to the fenders above the tires so I know we were off the ground on one side of the truck & trailer at least.  I really thought I was about to die and the only thing that went through my mind was "oh this is about to hurt really bad" 

Luckily Sean was able to keep us from flipping and drove us onto the service road to check the horses.  The horses were luckily just fine and the only thing wrong was a blown tire.  We pulled into a parking lot and Sean changed the tire and it took about an hour because everything on the truck was frozen shut.  We couldn't get into any of the outside doors to get the jack or tire irons and had to pour warm Coke to get the doors to open.  We decided to turn around and head home because the roads just got worse the further into Dallas we got and there was no way were were going to make the rodeo in time because of all the traffic.

I was so thankful that we made it through that.  I prayed a Thank you prayer the entire way home!  I'd never seen anything like that ice before.  There was no snow...just ice.  It was like two inches thick on the ground.  Hope the Superbowl fans are careful!

Duck Call

I finally have a few quick minutes to say hello!!  Duck & Deer season are in full swing here in Arkansas and Sean is MIA.  Actually...it hasn't been that obsessive for him this year because there isn't much water to duck hunt in....but if he blows his duck call in the house one more time I'm gonna shove that thing where the sun doesn't shine!!  I just went into the bathroom to take a relaxing bubble bath and there is a duck call sitting on the edge of the tub..apparently Sean took a relaxing bath this weekend whileI was at my parents and blew his duck call a loud as he wanted since I was gone...  he'd probably die if he knew I put that on the internet..haha

Wordy Wednesday

Hey Guys!! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Ok So I haven't been taking many photos of anything other than photo shoots so Me and the dogs have been hanging out with the camera a bit.

The trees are beginning to look beautiful...their leaves are coming off quick though!

Bird got into the trash and got it everywhere.. I spanked her and put her in the dog house for awhile...

She's too cute to stay mad a though...

She hasn't moved for weeks!!  She has no eggs...any idea why she's doing that??

Banjo is as lazy as ever...

He won't even get up to fight with Bird..he just rolls over.. 

Birdie on the other hand is as wild as ever.   She is a master at catching balls in the air

 She's obsessed...

Hi

Well It's been a Painful yet Productive week at my house.  Celiac Disease has made me feel like death, yet I've cleaned out the house and am getting ready for a garage sale later this weekend.  I have also painted all the doors in my house...ok well three and I'm still working on the rest.. I've painted them an off white color that matches the trim. 

When I moved in to this house two years ago the girl that lived in it prior to me decided she wanted to paint the trim off white.  I don't quite know what happened but she stopped about halfway through and did only half of the doors.  So when we painted the house we painted the trim and I thought, "I'll do the doors later"  well two years later I'm finally painting the doors...pretty sad that I'm that procastinational...if that's even a word. 

This weekend I drove up to Fayetteville and got deathly sick thanks to a run in with Gluten and didn't get to go to the Razorback game..but I did get to visit with my family so that made the trip worth while.  I also got to do a family photo shoot on Saturday around noon on campus.  I was a little disappointed with the photos, I wish I would've gotten more shots that were more creative but I was just feeling awful so I guess I'm glad I got the shots that I did.

 Since I finally got some more Storage so I can upload photos here are some of my sister at the game a few weeks ago...

I also did a Photo Shoot On Sunday afternoon and Yesterday afternoon.  I'll have to post those later.

I am really enjoying the cooler weather that is starting to set in.  I wish the weather would stay like this year round.  I wish the leaves would stay as beautiful as they are right now too..what a colorful fall!
