Not Lonely Here!

I Got another Question in my Inbox today!!  I'm not sure who asked but the question is:

"What is it like for you when Sean is away at rodeo's? Do you get lonely?"

Well this is a difficult question to answer without sounding like a total jerk, but I LOVE it when Sean is away!!  Don't get me wrong here, I love my husband and I enjoy his company but man.. living with one person and being around them is hard!!

You see, I'm selfish and when he isn't home I get to Watch what I want to on TV instead of the Hunting channel or Southpark.  I get to sleep in the middle of the bed all sprawled out with Banjo on one side and Birdie on the other and I don't have to hear Sean snore.  I don't have to cook, I don't have to do his dirty cow poop laundry,  I don't have to hear him blow that stupid duck call that hurts my ears, and I don't have to listen to him talk on the phone to his buddies about hunting and rodeoing. I can just hang out with my girl friends and be as selfish as I want!

The only thing I miss is him taking out the trash and when I need to lift heavy objects, which is why when he gets home there is a heap of trash on the back porch.  :)  Really though, It takes about three days before I'm tired of being by myself and I start missing being able to curl up with him on the recliner and watch Criminal Minds and House.  It's then I start sleeping in his t-shirts that smell like him and kissing photos of him goodnight.  It's then I make myself as busy as possible and hang out with the girls to keep my mind off of being lonely.

Sean and I have the type of relationship where I do my thing, he does his thing, and occasionally we'll meet in the middle and do stuff together.  We both enjoy our alone time and like our own hobbies.  We aren't the type of couple that you see together 24/7 and we like the freedom we allow each other.  We have 100% trust in our relationship and I wouldn't have it any other way!

Oh and when Sean is away, I'm never lonely because Banjo and Birdie keep me company!!

I hope this answers your questions!!   Thanks for asking!!

Blue Eggs and Ham

What's with me not posting any pictures in a month??  I don't know, I've been too busy and lazy to do things like walk outside and push my finger down on a button and take a photo.  Maybe I'll be some energy and snap some photos this week...

This weekend was BEAUTIFUL and i should've taken tons of photos but I was too busy getting ready for a MaryKay party and shooting skeet...(target practice with shotguns and clay discs)  yeah i'm redneck.  I'm pretty sure I jerked my shoulder out of socket too..

Anyway I was getting ready to go to a Mary Kay Party and I got a craving for an omelet.  This omelet turned out to be the longest most difficult omelet I've ever made, and I'll tell ya why.  Try #1 resulted in me cooking spoiled bacon that stunk up the kitchen and produced green bacon...ew.  Try #2 was off to an awesome start with fresh bacon.  Man it smelled so good!  I was just about to fold the omelet together when Sean walked into the kitchen and started to pull spices out of the spice cabinent and act like he was putting random spices in the omlette to aggravate me which, I'll admit was kind of cute because he was totally flirting.  Then he did something that royally pissed me off.  He grabbed blue food coloring and sprinkled about 15 drops of blue food coloring onto my perfect omelet.  I gave him a look that could only be read as 'I'm going to kill you' and he gave me a look that could only be read as 'oh Shit!'

Now, you may be thinking, "Big deal, food coloring doesn't taste."  But, let me just let you know that 15 drops of food coloring on a tiny omelet may or may not create a huge mess, a blue mouth, blue teeth, and blue tongue.  I had to go to a Mary Kay party in one hour and was so afraid of going and doing the Beauty Class with a blue mouth...I'm sure I would've sold tons of makeup then...I wasn't going to risk eating it.

So Omelet try #3 finally resulted in an awesome omlette, full of bacon and cheese and onions and tomatoes and Sean kicked out of the kitchen for the remainder of my omelet cooking session.

ps.  I saved the blue omelet and ate it the next day, and it turns out I do like blue eggs and ham, and it doesn't turn your mouth blue :)

Valentine's Day Poem

Today for the first time I decided to participate in Mama Kat's Writers Workshop...

Mama's Losin' It

The Prompt today is write a poem to your lover, or something close to that.  So here goes.

Dear, Sean
I Had big plans for valentines day,
But you saddled up and went away.

To A rodeo you’d rather go.
Than sit with me at the movies on the font row!

So now Valentine’s Day with friends I will spend,
And we will hate on all you stupid Men!!

To be honest though, I’m sad to say,
I really, really hate Valentine’s day

I think its Made up by a Card Company,
So we spend all our hard earned money.

So this year no cards from you to me,
A check from the rodeo is what I want to see!

Love,
Ok so I decided I would take a few photos of my wedding story book and I got really really really carried away. So here is one million photos from my wedding day. I hope you enjoy and don't get too tired scrolling down :)

Valentines Day

Photobucket
Today's Valentine's day post is about your favorite Wedding Memory.

I don't really have any "favorite" Memories.  I had a wonderful day and I have a sucky memory anyway but, of the memories I do have, I can't just pick one over the others.

Some fun parts of the day included when Sean and I first saw each other.  We decided to take photos before the wedding and We cleared the sanctuary. Sean stood where he was going to stand during the wedding up in the front and I opened the doors to the sanctuary and walked down the isle to him.  It was so much fun because we got to hug and talk and cry (me) all by ourselves without anyone else there (except the photographer.) She got a photo of Sean's expression when I walked in and mine as I was walking to him.  She got us talking for the first time (from afar) and those photos are so special.  I ordered a story book so I don't have any photos to scan and post...I guess I can take photos of the book when I get home and post them!

Another fun memory is after we kissed the preacher had us turn toward the crowd and said.. "Ladies and Gentlmen for the first Time I'd like to introduce to you Jenna & Sean....."  (whispers to best man "Whats their last name"   best man whispers 'Thomas')  "Mr & Mrs. Sean Thomas"!  I laughed and Sean laughed and all of the church laughed! It was funny.

We had a 2:00 wedding so after the wedding, me & Sean and all of our friends went to my aunts house (which was unoccupied and forsale)  and had a big party and swam for hours until it was time to go catch our flight!  We had a great time!  Then everyone stayed at our barn (we have a live in area and kitchen in the barn) and played washers and ate all the left over wedding food!  I kind of wish we could've stayed and hung out but our plane left at like 6 am so we had to get on the road!

Come back later this afternoon and I'll have posted some Pictures of my wedding pictures  :)

PS  Sean's Rodeoing in Belton Tx Tonight!!!   Send some prayers up for us!!  We need the money but more importantly a win would really be good for Sean's spirits right now..he's starting to get down on himself!  Thank you!!

Valentines Day

Photobucket

This week Momma M is hosting a Valentine themed week.  Today is Engagement stories.  I really hate writing about mine and Sean's mushy gushy-ness because really there isn't any.  But I'll give it my best shot to mushy it up a bit.

Sean and I were living in Houston when we got engaged. See our above engagement photo. I was living in an apartment on the outskirts of Houston and Sean lived about 15 minutes from me in Baytown in a Camper Trailer because he got paid Per Deim if he lived in a Camper and didn't set up permanent residence...And I wasn't about to live in a camper.  I really had some fun times in Houston because we got to do all the big city stuff and it was just me and Sean, but I was SOOO Homesick, we were 6 hours from my home and my friends and family.
Anyway back to the proposal..Sean and I talked about getting married all the time. In fact I had helped him pick out my diamond online from Diamonds.com and I even watched him pay for it...But he told me it would be awhile before he was ready to get married and he wanted to save up enough money to buy a pretty ring setting to put it in. This was August of 2007 and we'd been dating about a year and a half.

From then on out I was always expecting him to propose to me, but he never did. I even wondered if maybe he really didn't order a diamond. We went home once or twice a month and I kept wondering if he asked my parents but he was never with my parents and not with me so I knew he hadn't. I really thought maybe he'd changed his mind.

I had totally given up on a marriage proposal and in the meantime buried myself in work. At this time I was selling insurance and I was so Homesick I cried myself to sleep every night. I was very emotionally unstable because I was so homesick. It's quite sad how homesick I was to be honest... I worked across the road from a Bass Pro Shop and I would go there on my lunch break just because it reminded me of home because it was "outdoors-y." That's how pathetically homesick I was...

Anyway.. I had my license to sell property and causality insurance at the time but wanted to get my Life and Health insurance license. To get your license you have to take a test, and though it's not that hard, there is a lot of memorization and there was way to much on my mind at the time. I studied for the exam but was so distracted by being homesick that I never really learned much. I went to take the test and failed miserably. I felt awful because my employer had just shelled out 150 bucks for me to take this test. Before I left the testing site I made sure and signed up to take it two weeks later, in Mid November on the 14th. I studied some more but again, I was so distraught It didn't really matter much. I took the test again and again I failed it by ONE point!! I was solo upset.

I called in sick to the rest of the day of work and went home crying. I had to stop on the side of the road on the way home because I was so upset. I had just cost my boss another 150 bucks, and I just felt stupid because that test should have been simple. I called Sean and asked him to come over when he could so I could feel a little better. He came over shortly after I got home and suggested that we Go out to eat and go down to Kemah, TX and hang out on the boardwalk, he said that would take my mind off of being homesick and take my mind off of flunking that stupid test.

We had a wonderful time at dinner. We ate at a Japanese steak house on the Boardwalk and had a great time watching the chef prepare our meal. There was a live band out that night on the board walk and the night was beautiful and the temperature was perfect. I had totally forgotten about the test and even forgot about being homesick a little bit.

I wanted to buy some tickets to play some games so Sean went and bought a few and we did all the dart balloon games, softball through, water gun races, etc. Sean suggested that we go on the Farris wheel to spend the last few tickets we had but the wind was blowing so hard that I just suggested we go up in the observation tower so we could look out and see the lights of Houston. We were the only ones in the Tower. It slowly spins around as you rise to the top and then slowly spins back down.

As we were looking over Houston I was really close to the glass and Sean was behind me sitting down, it was breathtaking.  The lights were beautiful.  Sean then kneeled down off the seat and I thought he was like having some kind of episode because he was scared of heights or something.  I looked down at him and he pulled my ring out of his pocket and told me he loved me and asked me to marry him.

I was completely suprised and shocked.  I was totally not expecting a proposal, I just thought he was trying to cheer me up from the crying fit I had earlier from failing the test.   The first words that spilled out was.. Did you really already ask my parents?!  He laughed and said yes and I was in shock for the rest of the evening and called everyone I knew on the way home.  It was perfect!

This was right as we were leaving.. I had been crying.

The setting he picked out for my ring is exactly what I would've picked out. It's beautiful and surrounded with diamonds. I'm a very lucky Girl! It's a carat solitaire and then another half carat in diamonds on the band and wedding ring...this was when it was new and shiny :)

It's not so shiny now, I should go get it cleaned...
For my wedding shower my cousin Erin got me a photo that is the acutal skyline of Houston on the 14th of November, the night Sean Proposed.  The caption says "Night Sky over Houston"  "November 14th 2007, Sean asked and Jenna said yes."  It was the Theme for my extra bathroom, Notice I painted the wall the same blue as the sky :)  ...you can buy these online but I'm not sure where...

I love this photo because It is EXACTLY what I was looking at when Sean proposed...from that height and that exact view...I even remember thinking the moon looked so pretty.  Now I can look at that skyline anytime I go to the extra bathroom to pee and remember that night exactly! haha

Thanks for stopping by...sorry it was so long!!

Who?

My husband has a mistress.

Yeah, I know it sucks. He's with her all the time, dreams about her, loves her, and I'm a little afraid he'd pick her over me. She gives him money sometimes, which in turn he gives to me. Those are the only times I like her. I know he loves me but she's so exciting and fun. He gives her that rush of adrenaline that I just can't give him.

Most of his friends are in love with her too...infact she's mistresses to a lot of them too. I'll never understand his love for her. I'll never understand why she's so irresistible and charming. I've seen her a few times, I guess I can see the appeal. She somehow holds a spell on my husband that I just can't break.

Sometimes, she really makes my husband feel like crap. That's when I hate her the most. She can be a witch like that sometimes and just take his money and throw it away and give nothing back. She makes me sick at my stomach some nights, yet Sean still loves her. And I don't think he'll ever quit seeing her for doing him wrong.

I'm extremely jealous of her. I wish he'd give me the time that he gives her. All of my hard earned money goes to her, which hopefully someday she'll pay us back. The bad thing is, I can't hate her like I want to. I can't punch her in the face or cuss her out for stealing my husband. I wish I could....

It would be much easier if his mistress was another woman... I could compete against that...but it's not..

I'm competing with The Rodeo, and she's hard to beat.
