Do large numbers make you want to throw up?? If so I've got a give away for you!...it has nothing to do with large numbers or throw up though.

See, I get my e-mail messages through my Blackberry.  The other day my phone vibrated indicating I had a new message.  I usually just get work messages or blogger comments (which are my favorite)  but this e-mail message made me want to throw up with nervousness.  It was my ENERGY BILL AHHHH!   As I nervously opened the e-mail I was praying the bill was under $250.  All Winter it stayed around $275 and seriously I was considering just letting them cut off the electricty this month if it was that High again and just try to rough it like Laura Ingalls...I mean I do have chickens now and everything.

I opened the message and scrolled down to the dreaded AMT DUE: line and low and behold a beautiful $145 stared back at me!  (cue angels singing) I wanted to marry that beautiful $145 and love it forever!   I couldn't believe it...then I remembered that we kept the air/heat off and opened the windows and used a small space heater for warmth.  I also decided not to do laundry for the month of March which left Sean gripeing about laundry but AT LEAST I SAVED MONEY.  Because that was my intentions from the get go...not because i'm tired of laundry or anything.

Anyway how appropriate that a few days later my blackberry buzzed with another message about a GIVE AWAY that was all about saving energy!!  Earth Day is on April 22nd and it's turning 40 this year!!  Cascadian Farms wants us to join in the celebration by pledging to follow a few eco-friendly tips on their facebook page.

On The Cascadian Farms Facebook page, you can Pledge to reduce your speed while driving, or Pledge to reusing clothes (hand me downs-- not dirty laundry like me)  You can also pledge to unplug your electronics while not using them, which is what I pledged to do!  There are lots of ways you can pledge to cut down on energy use..and guess what!?  Cascadian farms is going to donate $1 for ever pledge between now and May 31, 2010 to Organic Farming Research Foundation, which fosters the improvement of widespread adoption of organic farming systems Whoo Hooo!!  HOpefully this will help me see another low energy bill next month too!!

I love cereal too...so they really picked a great girl to give cereal to!!
I eat like four boxes of whole grain cereal a week...is that sad?  ha!

I'm having a WONDERFUL Monday!!

Guess who was voted Homecoming Queen today!!!???

No...not me...

My Little Sister Melissa!! I'm so super excited for her!!! She is so excited too! I can't wait for her to go dress shopping and pick out a dress. I might pretend I'm in homecoming too so I can try on dresses... Do you think I could pass for a high school senior?? Oh that would be so fun.


I'm So excited that I think I will give some stuff away!! Last week Betty Crocker contacted me and asked if they could send me a Betty Crocker Gluten free snack pack...um yes please!!

This was on my porch this afternoon when I came home from lunch. I couldn't wait to tear into it!!



This was what was inside. Fruit Roll ups, Fruit Gushers, Fruit by the foot...Oh I've died and gone to heaven! AND it's ALL GLUTEN FREE! The Create a Bug gushers are Fat Free and only contain 60 calories. Birdie and Banjo tore into the yoyo and frisbee while Sean and I enjoyed a quick game of pickup sticks...all included with my package. I immediately ate two fruit roll ups and one fruit by the foot and had to have Sean hide the box so I wouldn't eat anymore.
