Show us where you live Friday

It's Friday! Show us where you live Friday! This week is bathrooms. I didn't really want to show my bathrooms this week because they aren't the cutest, but I will show you what I found in my shower! Birdie! For some reason she loves it here. When we let her inside she runs straight to the shower and lays down. We aren't sure if there is something wrong with her or not but her obsession with water is a little strange. She likes for us to turn on the shower so she can get wet. Whenever she goes missing inside we know where to look. Hope you have a great weekend! See you next time!

My Extra Bedroom

OK so I'm a day late on posting my extra bed room but oh well! I have two extra bed rooms. One is Sean's hunting room and it will have a bed but it isn't finished yet. The other one I have converted into a "closet" this is the room I am featuring today since my extra bed room isn't finished. Below is my "Closet". My bedroom has a tiny closet so I converted the extra bedroom into a bigger one. I also painted the "closet" red because the previous owner had painted the bed room purple for her little girls and had a big tree painted in one corner and grass and flowers around the baseboard. I had to use a dark color to cover the dark color that was already there so I chose this color-brick hearth.
This is my computer desk. I like that you can close the doors, otherwise it would look like the picture below this one all the time.
Below is where I get ready every morning. I got the Mirror at the Resale shop for $20! The table is where I put on my makeup in the morning. I got it at the resale shop too for only $15 dollars. It's an old sewing machine table. I'm pretty sure this mirror was the best idea ever! I love being able to see what I look like in the mornings before work, plus it makes the room appear bigger.
Just in case you didn't notice, I like clothes. My actual closet in my "closet" filled quickly so I set up clothes racks and hung my t-shirts and work clothes on them.
This is a zoom of the shadow box above my jewelry box. I made this right after we moved into the house because I wanted to display all our wedding keep sakes.

I found this pants rack and shoe rack in a magazine and thought it was pretty neat, it only cost 30 dollars for the pair! Can you tell I like shoes too!?

Well that's my "closet." I really hope we don't have children anytime soon because I don't know where I'll put all this stuff!

Where I Live

After looking at all the pretty Kitchens last week I decided that I would participate this week. I'm posting a day late due to my computer battery dying on the way to South Texas to the Rodeo. My house isn't much, but I tried to make the most of it with all the decorations and furniture I have. It was difficult trying to decorate my house in something that Sean would be comfortable in and would still be cute. He wanted to put all his deer heads and ducks in the living room and I wasn't to excited about that. So we compromised and I decorated in a western theme that included a cowhide and the deer and ducks stayed at his mom's house! (for now anyway)
This is the Left side of my living room and it looks into the Dining area of the Kitchen. I painted the kitchen green and I love the color! The original color I had picked out for the living room really complimented the green but looked as Sean said like "baby poop brown." It was not anything like what I expected it to be. Since I had already bought the paint We used it in one of the extra bed room, Sean's hunting room, and it fits nice in there. I had Sherwin Williams tone down the paint color and it turned out to be a yellowish tan. I love it in the living room but for some reason in the hallway it looks like mustard yellow. I think it may be the light fixture in the hallway that gives it that tone so I bought a fixture to replace the old one, I just haven't done it yet.

This is the Right view of the living room, followed by a picture of the sofa table behind the couch. I'm saving up my money to purchase the sofa table that goes with my TV Bombay table and my end table. The sofa table I have now is from my aunt. I got a lot of good furniture from her when she moved into her new house. There is also a coffee table that goes with my furniture that looks like a big trunk. I love it!

This is the view from the living room into the dining part of the kitchen.

This is the front wall of the living room, It's not quite finished yet. I am looking for a big frame to put all Sean's buckles in above his saddle and I want to take some pictures of the dogs and put them in a big frame on the other side of the TV, but until then It's just a blank boring wall. The wall to the right has a picture of a dog and some cowboy boots. It's framed in a beautiful leather looking frame with a real pretty brown matte. I put a John Wayne wall decal quote above the picture that reads, "Courage is being scared to death and saddling up anyway." It's one of my favorite quotes.

These are the two end tables. As soon as I can save up money I'll have two that look like the picture on the left, and Sean's buckles will be on the wall as soon as I find a frame that I like.

This is the view from my kitchen table into the living room.

And of course, what post about my house would be complete with out pictures of the Chocolate Children and their favorite things, toys and food. They were begging to get in...such sad faces, I can't resist sometimes!!

Well that's it for now! Hope you enjoyed my small, but cozy living room. Thanks for stopping by! Go see Kelly's Korner for more gorgeous living rooms!
