Car Keys

I know My blog is usually about my life in the "now" but I have a pretty funny story that I'd like to blog about, I don't know what reminded me of this but I just had to share.  It's really long but if you feel like being semi-entertained then take the time to read it..

Let's travel all the way back in time to the year 2003, My freshman year of college. I had just joined a sorority and we went to all the parties around campus. We hung out with one fraternity in particular that always partied at a guy's house named PJ. PJ lived with is parents in a huge two story house, with a huge deck out back. He lived in the downstairs area, which was like a second house itself with a kitchen, living room, etc. PJ's parents were cool, and would come hang out with us sometime, but for the most part they didn't care how many people were partying at their house, and sometimes there would be close to 100 people there.

We all became really close, those of us who partied together on a regular basis. We were always at PJ's, we'd even have study groups meet at his house to study before we started partying. It was probably the only reason I passed college...those study groups :) PJ's was fun, they started a Midnight Madness party where you woke up at midnight and partied until sunrise...I never did attend those parties, I'd planned on it but once I was asleep, there was no waking me up. There were also White Trash Wednesdays, where you dressed like white trash and partied every Wednesday..hence the name.  My favorite costume was where I dressed as a pregnant woman with a black eye and kept a cigarette behind one ear...(thanks Erin) ha!

There was this one guy, Ed, that we partied with that never knew when enough was enough. He would drink himself into a stupor every night and pass out. It became an on going joke to draw on him with Sharpies once he was out. He was also known for wetting himself quite often while passed out. It's kind of sad now that I think about it, we probably should've gotten him some kind of help, but back then it was funny.

One night me and a couple of my Sorority Sisters went over to PJ's house for a party. Late into the night me and my girlfriend, we'll call her Natoshya, went to pee in the bathroom. We went in together because we're girls and that's what we do. Natoshya was paranoid about peeing in a bathroom with a shower/shower curtain because she was always afraid some immature perverted boy would be back there hiding. After telling me this I laughed and told her there was no one behind that shower curtain and then flung the shower curtain back...much to my surprise, laying in the empty tub, was Ed. He was passed out drunk and there was writing all over him. His pants were wet, and low and behold someone had shaved half of his head bald.

We both screamed because we were so startled that someone was actually behind the shower curtain. Apparently, he had wet himself and so they just put him in the tub incase it happened again. The boys got a big kick out of us being startled and then moved Ed into a bedroom and put him to sleep on the floor.

Well, as the night came to a close we started to get our coats together and leave. That's when I realized that my car keys were not in my coat pocket.  Anyone who knows me well knows that I'm very bad at keeping up with things. I misplace everything that isn't attached to my body on a daily basis. Sean gets really mad at me for it but I can't help that I'm absent minded, I'm really working on it. Anyway, we turned the entire house upside down looking for my car keys and finally gave up and I luckily had a spare key in my gas tank.

The next day I returned to PJ's house to look for my keys.  It was an expensive set to loose...My dorm keys were on my key ring and if you lost your dorm keys then you had to pay 100 bucks.  Not to menion the 50 bucks you had to pay for a replacement key for my Jeep. We had no luck finding my keys and I finally just gave up and kicked myself in the butt for being so careless.

As the semester was coming to a close and it became time to turn in my dorm keys, of course they were still missing.  I just couldn't help but search one more time for my keys at PJ's house. I thought maybe I should look under his deck incase they fell out of my coat pocket and fell between the cracks in the deck. We searched and searched under that deck and I didn't find my keys, but you'll never guess what I did find... A Ziploc baggy full of hair. I held it up and yelled, "PJ, what in the world his this?"  PJ fell to the ground laughing...apparently it was Ed's hair from that night a few months earlier.  After they had shaved his hair off, they saved it to give to him the next day. Ew..

To make the story even more weird... four years later, my senior year I got a call from PJ. His parents were redoing the deck and the flowerbeds around the deck. They had uncovered a set of keys in the flowerbeds that looked like they might belong to me. Sure enough, four years later, I found my keys. Even though I had already paid the fine for loosing my dorm keys, and I had a new vehicle and no longer needed the car keys, I was glad to have found them.

I always find what I loose, sooner or later.

Moped Night

Well I'm one step closer to getting a computer back yay!  I took Sean's computer to best buy and got them to help me out.  Now all I have to do is go to Verizon and get them to help me download software to be able to get online through my blackberry.  It's all really confusing to me...

So since I can't post photos, I wanted to tell you about the night I had....

So there is this older gentleman that lives somewhere around the area that has to drive by my house quite often.  I'm sure there are many people that have to drive by my house on a daily basis, but I never notice them like I notice this older gentleman.  You see,  this man rides a moped.  And not just any old moped, but the loudest moped on the face of the earth.  It sounds like a fourwheeler without a muffler, but worse.

This gentleman is a little overweight, so that may be another reason why the moped is so loud, because ya know, it has to work extra hard.  He also has a beard and wears a really cool moped riding hat.  He kind of reminds me of a redneck Santa Claus...except with a moped.   I saw him at the gas station one night with a lady friend on the back.  The moped was really really loud that night.

Well last night I was jerked out of the Best dream ever, though I can't remember what it was, I just remember it being wonderful. I could hear the moped coming down the road. He must have had a couple of lady friends on the back because it was so loud it jerked me out of a deep sleep.   The chocolate children got really excited because they must have thought it was a four-wheeler, and no matter what is going on in the world, if they hear a fourwheeler they take off.  I don't know know what their obsession is with four-wheelers. I guess they are fun to chase or something, which is weird because both dogs have been ran over accidently by the fourwheelers which would make you think they would hate them.  Neither of them were hurt seriously, just embarassed...SO maybe they chase them because they hate them...anyway I digress..

So the dogs jumped off the bed and ran around to every door in the house barking as loud as possible wanting outside to chase after the moped man.  I looked at the clock and it was 4am!!  4AM on a Monday Night!!! It's below Freezing!!! What is Moped man doing out at this hour???

The dogs couldn't settle down after the moped man passed because the dogs across the street were barking, so Banjo started barking at them.  Then Birdie joined in and started barking at Banjo, and in my "just jerked out of sleep by moped man- bad mood" I yelled at the dogs, gave them both spankings and went back to bed.  Notice I didn't say "went back to sleep"  because I just couldn't sleep after that.  I tossed and turned all the rest of the morning, wondering what in the world moped man was doing out at that hour.  I guess I'll never know.

Monday Random Thoughts

So I'm still without a computer.  I have plans on taking my computer to the apple people and seeing if they can do anything for me.  If not, I will use Seans PC but I have to get all the virus' off of it first.

I'd just like to say thank you to all of you who gave suggestions on what to do or cried with me during this difficult time in my life. Hopefully I can get all the photos off my hard drive and Sean's computer will work after it is fixed.  Honey Momma really made me feel better about it all...thanks!!!

My ear infection is still giving me pains... but look what I did this weekend!
(photo taken from camera phone, horrible quality..don't judge me)
No, I didn't get a red chair (which is what I was asked when I posted this on facebook with the caption "Look what I did!")

Since I don't post many pictures of myself on my blog I'll just go ahead and let you know I cut my hair off... like six inches!  My friend Holly, who is a hair stylist did it for me and it looks great!  I'm going to have to get some super strong hairspray so I can poof it up a little bit. I've had long hair for four years now and It was time for a change.  Plus, I think this style makes me look a little more professional than my long curls did.

I hope Sean Likes my hair...He left Saturday and I cut it Sunday!  He'll get a big suprise when he gets home!  He's in Arizona until the beginning of March and I would update my little "sean map" but again I don't have a computer :)  He's up in Tucson today so say a little prayer.  His first check came in the mail today and it felt so good to depost it into the bank!

Birdie slept with me last night, like right next to me and she kicked me in the back all night long..and she snored.  So I got very little sleep, but I'm glad she slept good.  Sometimes I swear she's human.

Anywho I hope you all have a great Monday, and I am having withdrawls from taking photos, but I haven't had any time!!  I dont' know what I'd do with them anyway beside keep them on my card.  Maybe by next week I'll have a computer and be able to post photos on my 365 page.

No Gas

I Ran out of gas yesterday.  Both figuratively and literally.

My tank on my car went dry and so did the tank on my body.  Not that my body has a tank but I just have no energy at all.

My car ran out of gas at the bank. I had just enough to get to the gas station but I decided I'd pull into the bank first.  The parking lot at the bank is on an incline, which caused all my gas to run to the front of my tank and no longer run to my engine or wherever gas goes..

I had to wait 45 minutes for Sean to come fill me up which normally would've been hell waiting that long, but wasn't this time.  See, they are shooting a movie in downtown Benton near the bank!  So I sat and watched them until Sean arrived Who's They?  I don't know but their tent says they are from Burbank and supposedly Leann Rimes is supposed to be in the movie.  But you if know you how small town gossip is, you wouldn't believe that.

I heard it's a movie about Hank Williams and the last few weeks of his life.  They picked Benton because down town still looks really old and this movie is set in the 50's.  My office is right across the street from where they are filming and they made everyone park in a different parking lot so main street would be clear for them to park antique cars there.  It was so cool and inconvenient.

Anyway as I was watching the movie filming and waiting for Sean I apparently drained my battery because after we filled my car with gas we had to jump it too...I hope everyone downtown got a good kick out of my irresponsibility.

Anyway as I was saying, I'm so tired and I really want to write an American Idol post and talk about how much I love Casey James and how even Sean wants him to win and calls him my Boyfriend to tease me but I just can't muster up the entergy.

I also want to talk all about stuff that's been going on in my life the past week but I just don't have it in me...sorry.   I want to post lots of photos I've taken but again, I just don't have the energy.

Maybe next week I'll be back in full force.  Until then I'm going to rest and sleep.  I have an ear infection that is making me loose my mind because of the pain so I'll see you all on Monday when I annouce the winner of my Giveaway.

Here..I'll leave you with a boring video.
...ok scratch that, my video camera just ran out of gas too so I'll just have to leave you with nothing but goodbye.

American Idol

Ok American Idol is my weakness...I watch ever episode every year so those of you who follow along, just get ready for lots of posts on American Idol :)

Ok Number one.  ELLEN WAS GREAT!! She was hilarious and very truthful, I loved her!
And number two...I'm Already In love with a Contestant...Casey James...In Love.  I really hope he sticks around for awhile because I love him.  haha...seriously though  I really like his voice and he is awesome on the guitar and he sings the blues so that makes him a winner in my book!

I've been quite stalkerish since last nights show and have found that he is the lead singer for a southern rock band, the Casey James Band, which is the type of music I LOVE.  I also read that he's a bad boy and has been to jail!!!   ...only for a few days for a DUI, but the article headline made you think he was a murderer or something when really he just got a little to wild and made a bad decision.

Oh well, he's still cute and I LOVE his hair and I love his country boy look.  Check out this Photography website I found that has photos of him and his band.

Ok I'll quit talking about him now..  A few of my other Favorites so far that I hope make it to the top 12 include:

Andrew Garcia:  Sean and I were BLOWN away by his song and voice last night!

DiDi Benarni.  Ok I love her name, I love her clear voice, and She looks a lot like Amy Smart.  And she plays the Guitar!

Crystal Bowersox was another one of my Favorites.  I didn't like her when she originally auditioned, but after last night's show, she won me over!  Her hair fits her personality and her last name is Bowersox and that is just a cool name.

Janell Wheeler....her voice gave me chills...i wanted to listen to her all night long.  And I loved her outfit!  And apparently she used to date Tim Tebow.

So those are my early favorites...Watch tonight at 8 so we can gossip together on all the contestants and who sucked and who was awesome and how wonderful Ellen Degeneres  was as the newest Contestant...That was the Best decision EVER!!  She's going to be hilarious!

Wow What a fun and eventful weekend I had! It all Started Friday when I picked up my Cousins Great Dane Sally, and we headed off to my home town. Sally lives near me in Little rock and her "grandmother" my aunt, lives in my home town so I took her to stay with her MiMi for awhile. I spent the evening with my BFF Laci and we watched stupid Youtube videos until close to midnight.  It was Ha-larious!

Saturday I had planned on going Fishing but it was so cold that we decided against it. I instead called my mom's BFF and took her little girl who is seven, around town and we had a photo shoot at the laundromat and the school playground. Caroline is her name and she's the one I've been posting pictures of all weekend, she's really cute and funny.

Then I went to a friends house and shot photos of her three month old. It was my first baby shoot and it was a lot of fun. We got some great shots and I learned a lot!
They wanted to do a photo of her surrounded by teddy bears like in "ET."  It turned out so funny! and super super cute!
They named her Ayden, which I LOVE!!  I've heard it for a boys name, but never for a girls!!

Sunday I slept in and then helped my dad feed the animals (cows and horses) We went to check the cows and one of them was in labor. We stopped and watched for about 30 minutes and ya'll I got to experience the first Live birth of a calf ever!!! I've seen a million of those things pulled but never a natural birth! It was amazing. I mean amazing and guess what? I forgot my camera....though you probably are glad because it was extremely painful looking!

My uncle is a vet so I've seen calves pulled, horses pulled, and I've even gotten to help with a c-section on a couple of dogs, and I helped neuter Banjo (and almost fainted)  but I've never experienced a live birth of a calf. I've watched our barn cat have kittens, our lab have puppies, and one time we stayed at the barn and put a blanket up in the hay loft and laid there and watched all night and finally got to see a horse have a colt but I was really young and I don't remember all that much.  I'm so glad I got to witness Gods creature give birth! This was a miracle!

First we drove up and she was off by herself laying down and she had a major discharge coming out of her hind end that signaled to us that her water had broken. After a few minutes of bellowing out and pushing, the calve's front hooves appeared. They disappeared and reappeared for about 10 minutes and the cow kept standing up and then laying down. Finally she laid down and pushed really hard and we could see the calve's nose. It was pink and after a few more minutes and a few more moo's and pushes the nose popped out and we could tell it had a white face. AFter what looked like a very very painful set of pushes the calve's head popped out and it had a full white face with black around each eye and black ears.

A few pushes later the whole front end flopped out and the baby had a white chest. After a few seconds she finally pushed the last push and the calf flopped out completely covered in the placenta ?? and was all wet and gooey. The mother jumped up and immediately started licking the calf dry. It was so cold I know that calf had to be cold...he was a tough thing...and yes when she rolled him over we saw it was a he. It must be something in the water because dad said out of about 30 calves he's had so far about 25 of them have been male...it was a true miracle!

After all that excitement i went over to a friends house to watch the superbowl. We had a "square" for the superbowl and if you don't know what that is I can't really explain it but it's all about buying a square and you are assigned numbers and if your number matches the team's score at the end of the quarters then you win money...my family won 550!! Woo Hoo!

After hanging out with my high school friends I started home and about 300 yards from my house I almost hit a white dog in the road! I of course stopped and picked him up. It was a smaller (about 15 lb) corgie mix dog that was white with a few brown spots. He is super sweet and I bet he belongs to someone who lives around us. I'm going to make "found" flyers but I secretly hope no one claims him so Banjo and Birdie can have a new brother....I named him Baxter. :)

Well I hope everyone Else's weekend was a fun and eventful as mine!! Have a great Monday!

Random Things

Here's a few random thoughts for the day.

All Day Long I thought it was Tuesday...It's really Wednesday!

Sean is leaving for Ft. Worth today and is up tomorrow.  Lets pray he does good because we need some mulah!

My Good Blog Friend Trish Gave me an award  Woo Hoo!  Thanks Trish!

Last night at the gym I killed my legs in the weight room and them killed them even more on the treadmill while watching American Idol.  I'm up to run/walking 1.5 miles and it took 20 whole minutes.  I'm gonna have to kick it into gear if I want to run a 5K in four weeks!

Speaking of American Idol...Um  Shania Twain looks older than I remember her...I think it was the hair color?  But she's still beautiful.   And WOo HOo and 16 year old from Arkansas made it to HOllyWOod!!

Another Kris Allen Maybe??

Ok So Any of you guys Baseball fans??   Do you know who Cliff Lee is?  Well he was the pitcher for the Phillies and he is now traded to another team but he is from here in Benton, and knows Sean because they grew up in church together.  I've met him a lot because he goes to the Gym we go to and Every time I see him I just get star struck and speechless because hes so cute and I don't know I just get all giddy when he's around.  He won the Cy Young award last year too and that is just awesome!

Anyways last night after getting the the treadmill, me and my workout partner Stephanie went into the aerobic room to do some yoga stretching and cooling down.  Oh and let me insert here..Sean doesn't work out at my gym anymore, he cancelled his membership since he is on the road so much and now works out at a buddy's house that has a weight room when he's here...ok anyway as we were leaving the cardio room to go to the aerobics room Sean and his workout buddy were at my gym getting a protein shake from the drink bar and him and a couple of people were all talking.  I walked up to him and I was going to be all cute and put my arm around him and hang on him like I was so worn out because of all the running I just did BUT on my way to do that I tripped and rammed into Sean and then lost my balance and fell back and almost knocked another guy down.

It was pretty embarrassing but the most embarrassing thing was when I realized after regaining my footing that one of the guys Sean was talking to was CLiff Lee!!  I was so much more embarassed because he laughed at me.   I was so embarrassed that I just walked off and didn't say anything.  I should've laughed and played it off but I was so nervous in the presence of someone famous that I just walked quickly away and made an even bigger ass of myself.

I'm so smooth and graceful sometimes :)

Have a good Wednesday

Letters

I sent out my Christmas Cards today!  Finally that is done.  One of the cards went to my Great Grandmother who is 94 I believe.  She mentioned to my aunt that she just loves to get mail.  Usually my aunt sends her e-mails but she just so happened to send her a hand written letter and my Grandma told her how much she enjoyed reading her hand written letters and how she has almost worn out the letter because she has read it so many times.

I decided to put a hand written letter in my card to my Grandma so she'd have something else to read!  On a legal pad, hand written, it came to two pages.  I was quite proud of my handwriting skills, I had forgotten how pretty my handwriting was when I really tried.  Oh and let me tell you, I did NOT realize how wonderful typing was!  I had forgotten how much it hurts your hand to write that much, because I haven't written anything like that since Junior High!!  By the time I was finished my hand was cramped into a position that looked like some type of weird sign language.

Writing that letter got me thinking about all the letters my girlfriends and I used to write back and forth to each other in Junior High.  It was so much fun to write and receive letters from your girlfriends about who was "going out" with who and what boy liked what girl and what outfit we were wearing the next day.  I got tickled when I remembered all the jargon/lingo we used.  It's almost like Text messaging is now days except letter style..

For Instance...  "What's Up? NMH" was a favorite of mine.
Though I never used this method, My BFF always did:
"Just thought I'd
D
   R
     O
       P
You a line"    It made the letter look much longer when you used four whole lines for that clever little pun.
Of course if you were Going out with someone you always put "your initials + their initials" in a heart in the margin, that was always cool.
And you always signed TTYL  BF4Ever and then of course we added a ps pps and ppps, whether that was correct APA format, we never knew.
It was also cool to fold your letter a really weird way and then write To: and From: on it and have someone else pass it to them in the halls!

I'm no sure if the letter writing days are over yet but one day they will be replaced with IM's and Text messaging completely because Kids are getting cell phones younger and younger now days.  I'm sure when I have children they will cringe every time they hear me talk about writing letters to friends, kind of like I cringe when I hear the "I had to Walk to School when I was your age" speech I got from my Dad.

It's almost sad to think that letters are a thing of the past.   I would love getting hand written messages,  I love getting e-mails but a letter would be awesome because after writing that letter the my Grandmother I realize how much pain a friend would have to go through to make my day!  With the internet the world is getting smaller and smaller my friends!  I love staying in touch with old friends and meeting new ones, but I'm sad that my great grand children won't be able to look back at letters I wrote to home like I have been able to do with my Grandparents.  It's so neat to look at the letters they wrote and feel like they are somehow captured, their life happenings writing on that paper with their handwriting; knowing that they touched that page it gives me happiness! It preserves a little memory of them.  You can't just attach emotion and memories onto an e-mail like you can into a hand written letter.  (Which is ironic because you CAN attach things to e-mails but not letters in real life.)

Maybe we should all write down a few stories on paper and save them for future generations to stumble across and remember us by!  Has anyone else thought about stuff like this or am I the only weirdo ??   Also, did any of you guys write letters to your friends in Grade School??  Have any more fun lingo to add?!  I wanna hear it!

Have a great weekend!

Lady Bug, Lady Bug

It is a gorgeous day here in my hometown in as my dad says, L.A. (Lower Arkansas) The weather is perfect. It couldn't be any more perfect. Well If I didn't have the flu... that would make it more perfect. I feel a whole lot better compared to yesterday and I think I'm finally on the mend. So far no fever today!!

I went outside to sit on the front porch for awhile to get a little fresh air and some sun. I thought that might make me feel better...and it did!! I wandered out into the yard and sat down in the grass and just enjoyed the cool breeze on my face and watched the leaves flutter to the ground. The colors here are beautiful and the leaves are slowing starting to fall. I love this time of year!!

I laid down in the grass and just soaked up the sun. I watched a hawk float along in the sky and listened to the crows caw and the quite sound of No Interstate! Mine and Sean's house on the Circle T is very near the Interstate, its just on the other side of the river, about half a mile. You can always hear the interstate. I really never notice the noise until I get to my hometown and then I notice the noise of the interstate is not there.

As I laid on my back and looked at the beautiful earth, the beautiful Sky, and felt the wind on my face I couldn't help but wonder how someone could experience this beauty and Not believe in God. His presence is everywhere out here. It floors me!

I took these photos earlier and they reminded me of a poem I used to say when I was little.

"Lady Bug, Lady Bug, Fly away home. Your house is on fire and your children are home!"

As I say it now I think.. How Cruel!! How Morbid! Her kids are at home and her house is on fire?! Someone save them!! When I was little I thought it was fun to catch the lady bugs and them throw them up and make them fly away while reciting that neat poem. Now I'm just disturbed....somewhere out there here house is on fire and her children are there!! Help her!!
Seriously though, Enjoy this weather!!! Fall is my favorite time of year and It's rained so much this year I haven't got to enjoy it much!! Have a wonderful end of the week!!

God Slapped Me

A month or so ago I ran across a Verse that really spoke to me. Then not long after that MckMamma did a post on the same verse!
I just wanted to share a little with you about how it's opened my eyes. I've had the verse on my blog since I found it. It's Isaiah 55 8:9
"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways." declares the LORD. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts."

It's no secret that Sean and I as a newly married couple are sometimes having to roll change to buy groceries. I mean Sean hasn't had a "real" job in three months, and I don't make that much yet. They tell me it takes a few years to make money in the insurance business. Sean is going to rodeos and working on the farm but when it rains, he can't do much on the farm and it's been a really wet summer and we've had to rely on his rodeo winnings, and I thank God that he's winning.

So now that you have our story....oh and don't pity me. Don't feel sorry for me. I'm not asking for sympathy I'm wanting to be a witness for God in what he's doing in our lives..it's just taking me awhile to get there..sorry I'll hurry up.

Anyways.. I'm what you might call a control freak. I tend to get a little bit nervous if I don't have control of every situation in my life, which tends to be a problem sometimes... OK so it tends to be a problem all of the time. I've really learned a lot in the last few months on how to relax and be OK with not having complete control. I think it has really helped my marriage and my relationship with others.

I keep a very detailed excel spreadsheet of our finances. I know when every bill is due, where are money is going, and how much we spend and I know to the penny at all times how much money is in my checking account. Sean, on the other hand, has no clue how much money he has in his account, how many bills we have, or when they are due and to be honest, I like it that way. He relies on me to tell him and I have control and I like it!

In the first few months after Sean lost his job, I freaked out. I wasn't nice to Sean because I was stressed about paying the bills and Sean wasn't worried about it. It made me mad he didn't worry. He let me keep up with how much money he had so I felt as if the burden of worrying was on me. Which now I see was stupid no one is supposed to worry, it doesn't help. I was always worried, always upset, always mad a Sean, always wondering why God allowed this to happen. I was always griping and stressing about every bill until we somehow scraped up enough money to pay them. Sean and I hated each other, we fought constantly and I realized that Money really is the root of all evil.

When I read Isaiah 55:8-9 I realized that God had just slapped me in the face. This verse said to me.."Hey, Control Freak! Stop Worrying!! Your ideas and your 'way' sucks! You will never ever be able to control God's path for you and Sean. Stressing about paying the bills, and worrying that you aren't going to make it is such a waste of time and is just like telling God you don't believe in Him because you don't believe He can take care of you. God's ways are so much higher than you ever could be.. so get off your high horse and just chill out.!!!" I immediately asked God to forgive me for not believing in Him and to help me always remember He is in control.

I've written that verse on Post It's and hung them everywhere. I've shared it with all my friends. Since that slap in the face, God has provided all we need to pay the bills plus some! Just when I think we won't be able to pay the bill, God provides the money to us in some form or fashion and it all turns out fine.

Since I've learned to relax and not worry about things I can't control, my life has been a lot happier. My relationship with God has strengthened and Sean and I have gotten along perfectly.

I still have to stop and recite this verse when I start getting stressed out, and it has helped me so much!! Maybe it can help you too! Thanks for listening to me ramble about my problems!!

Don't forget about my Give Away! The People at Betty Crocker want to send you free fruit roll ups!!

Hey Honey

It is exactly one week until Fall Starts. Because of the recent cool rainy weather I have been in the Fall mood. I thought it would be fun to give you guys a little bit of info I found about September and the upcoming Fall Season.

The full moon occurring nearest to the autumnal equinox is Also known as the Harvest Moon. You can see the Harvest moon TONIGHT!! This year the equinox is September 22, or the first day of Fall! The Night and Day will be equal lengths.

Did you know we carve pumpkins because during the Irish Potato Famine immigrants that came over to America carved turnips, potatoes, and beats and put them in their windows with a candle inside to welcome the deceased. Because they didn’t have many turnips, potatoes, or beats they started using Pumpkins. This makes me never want to carve a pumpkin again. I really don't want to welcome dead spirits into my home.

September 7th Was Labor Day

September 13th was Grandparents day (happy belated Grandparents day to my grandparents)

September 25th is Native American Day.

On September 1, 1830 “Mary had a little lamb was published”

September is National Baby safety Month, National Honey Month, and Hispanic Heritage Month.

Here are some Fun Honey Facts…

There are 300 varieties in the US.

There are no two honeys exactly alike in flavor or nutritional content.

Honey may contain pollen and could possible relieve allergy symptoms

Studies suggest Sugar is a great source of energy and may enhance athletic performance

All-natural honey is an effective treatment for minor abrasions and burns.

Honey is naturally hydrating and non-irritating.

For relief of the irritating symptoms of sore throats caused by viruses, try a spoonful of honey to soothe and coat the throat. In between, keep up liquids with a steaming cup of tea sweetened with honey.

So Happy September Everyone! Be safe with your babies, remember your Hispanic Heritage and Eat Honey!!

    Not Me Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

This is what I did not do this weekend:

I did not travel 600 miles this weekend in one big circle to visit three rodeos and spend all my money.

I did not spray "off" on me in the convenient store because I didn't want to buy the whole can. (p.s. when I told dad about this he said he was disappointed that I stole from the store---i didn't see it that way)

And I did not buy Boone's Farm at this convenient store either because who can resist?

I definitely did not pee pee behind the horse trailer because I wouldn't get within 10 feet of the porta-potties. No, I would not do that!

I did not get home Saturday night at 2:00 am and have to talk my husband out of going to the Electric Cowboy (bar) and then we did not stay up for a couple hours practicing roping.

I did not leave my chocolate children inside the house all day accidentally Sunday while I went to my hometown. They did not sleep all day in the air conditioning and Did not keep me up last night because they were wide awake and wild.

I did not clean out my car yesterday and it did not take me two hours. I did not take two large BOXES full of things back into the house from my car, and I did not find five spoons, and three cups, and a few things I thought were lost forever.

I did not go to bed last night at 1:30 because my husband got stranded on the river fishing and didn't get in until late. Then he did not make me help him take down panels (temporary fences) in the arena at midnight because he forgot to earlier.

And finally, I did not eat, three bags of chips, two chili cheese nachos, one candy bar, 1 big Mexican meal, A large bag of kettle corn, 3 bags of peanuts, and a subway salad--between Friday at 5 and Saturday Night. Nope, not me!

    Urban Vocab

I'm a Horrible Speller, and I mean horrible. Is it sad that when I'm writing things on paper my mind automatically thinks spell check? That's how little I write on paper. In fact, does paper writing still exist??
If you ever see misspelled words on my blog It's because the ABC check didn't catch it and I thought that's how the word was spelled. So anyway if you notice that when you post a comment on someone elses blog you cannot spell check it. (or if you can I haven't figured it out yet, please let me know how) Normally, I just type in dictionary.com and look the word up I need to spell, today for some reason I absentmindedly typed in dictionary.com into google instead. Up popped a neat little website that kept me rolling for at least an hour. I'm pretty sure I've seen this website before but It was lost to my memory until today. Urbandictionary.com (Warning: if you visit the site please be warned there are some x rated words defined..browse carefully)

I found this word and It totally describes me. I've never been asked to name one word that describes me but if I was asked, this is what it would be..

chronoptimist: A person who always under estimates the time necessary to do something or get somewhere. ex. "Hey, Cindy. you know my parents are expecting us in 20 minutes." "No problem. I just have to wash the dishes, take a shower, do my hair, walk the dog and then I'm all good to go. See you in 15." "You are such a chronoptimist! I'll see you in 45."

Here are some other fun word definitions you might like:

Cell Phone : In the olden days, movie theatres used to have orchestras to accompany the film. Today, they have cell phones, a portable communication device sent from Hell. It is fine if used in moderation, but it almost never is. ex. "Marsha, I don't know what I'd do without you. But I'm afraid I must reveal that the secret killer of our lovers is…" **Brii-i-i-i-i-i-iiiiii-i-i-iii-ii-ng!** "Hello? Hi! Yeah. What's up? Uh-huh. Me too. Eh, nothing much. In the middle of a movie. What? No, I didn't yet. Wait…hold on. People are being rude and throwing things at me."

    Or maybe this one..

Edward Cullen : every boyfriend's nightmare
ex. Girlfriend: You know, Edward Cullen would never do that
    Boyfriend: ?!

    This made me laugh:

blogger street cred : Short for "web logger street credibility" 1. The amount of respect you have gained from other members of your blogging community ex: "I wonder if I have blogger street cred?"

    And last but not Least:

granny panties :A pair of underwear which are usually A) larger than the woman who wears them. B) Very stretchy and elastic. C) The best pair of undies you'll ever wear. Most people frown upon them because, as we all know, the smaller your undies are, the cooler you are. But in terms of comfort and practicality they beat thongs by a mile or more. ex: What Jenna was wearing when the wind blew her skirt over her head.

Hahaha have a fun Thursday Evening!!

    This is How I Feel

This is how I've felt the last few weeks...

    Rain

    I opened my eyes
And looked up at the rain,
And it dripped in my head
    And flowed into my brain,
And all that I hear as I lie in my bed
Is the slishity-slosh of the rain in my head.

I step very softly,I walk very slow,
    I can't do a handstand--I might overflow,
So pardon the wild crazy thing I just said--
I'm just not the same since there's rain in my head.

    WooHoo

WOOHOO! Kris made the finale!! Did anyone else get the feeling that the judges were disappointed that Kris made it to the final two?? Or was it just Simon and the face he made when they announced it was Kris? Does his hair remind anyone else of a dish scrubber? No? Just me?

Ok well anyway, I'm super excited about next weeks finale, our Bible Study group is throwing a Finale party and we're going to watch it after a quick Bible Study. I'm sure Got will understand...we want to pull for Kris, especially because of what a great example he will set for Christians and Non-Christians everywhere!

Ok moving on...So how many of you have gotten the sales call that warns you about your warranty expiring? How many of you, like our work phone, get them more than once daily? Well guess what!? Arkansas Attorney General Dustin McDaniel has filed a law suit, along with 40 other states against three warranty companies. They are guilty of Spoofing, which is intentionally making wrong numbers come up on caller ids so us as phone owners can't screen their calls. The are also using automative call lists and contacting people on do not call Lists, both which are illegal. How do these companies stay in business? Does anyone really buy this warranty service? I guess they are about to be out of business, thank goodness I don't' think I can handle any more phone calls!

Well the weather man just forcasted rain for tomorrow.....again, my hands are starting to shrivle we've gotten so much rain. Have a great rainy Thursday!

    I want...

    The River Has Flooded...

Pictures off the Bridge of the river. Above View Left, Below View Right.

Rain Rain Go Away. We are about to be washed away by the Saline River. The weather channel website says that we're under a River Flood Alert (Saline River) Um.. yeah It's up a few feet. It has consumed the back pastures and slowly creeping into the front pastures. You wouldn't believe the weather we got last night! This has been the third line of storms sweep through our State in the past week. I'm so sick of rain. I'm pretty sure we've gotten at least a foot of rain total. I want to see the sun for awhile. I want my yard to be dry so I can mow. I want to have dry dogs to play with. I want to be tan. I don't carry flood insurance. (because I can't afford it) I want to plant grass in the back yard so I won't have to deal with a muddy laundry room.
I want a new camera. I want a fenced in yard for my dogs. I want a maid. I want a chef. I want Sean to come back home. I want a clean car. I want Kris to win AI. I want...that's it for right now. Thanks for listening.
Here are more river pics. The right side of the bridge. (I have conveniently labeled the River Bank for you so you can see how much it has over flowed. Please comment on how awesome this is...it took me forever to add "River Bank" to the photos.!!!)
A Close up of the Overflow. View from the left of the river Bridge
Below is a view from my back porch. Isn't it beautiful.. and yes that is the River in my the back pasture. That brown stuff that looks like dirt...it's water. (It's not usually there, it's usually pasture)
Here's a close up of the pretty yellow weeds. About 2 inches in water.
This is the picture of the creek last month. This is how deep it is normally. My puppy's toes are barely wet..
This is the same spot today. It's a little bit deeper...
Banjo Really enjoyed it being deeper...
Birdie Just watched from the bank...

The Sun is Out Now Yea!! Too Bad I'm cooped up inside at work. Maybe the water will be down soon!
