Cruel and Unusual Punishment

I realize this is a horrible picture and kind of cruel but I was SOOO bored last night after Sean left and Birdie was playing with my boots, which is a big nono.. so I thought I'd to make her hate them in alternative to spanking her.  I got one shot, which was horrible, and then she decided she would have NO more of it and sulked off...mission accomplished

She then gave me this face because I wouldn't pet her.

She's such a spoiled rotten dog. But I love her.

She's also giving that face because Sean called a minute ago and said he didn't get to throw his steer. (cue sad music) He had a horse malfunction.  He was riding his partners horse and told me he couldn't discuss it right now so obviously the horse sucked it up and Sean didn't want to talk about it in front of his partner.

He also informed me that he will be taking our horse Frosty from now on...good decision in my opinion. He only had one steer today, he'll have the other one next week so there's still hope!

Nerves

Sean's up in Ft Worth this morning sometime. He'll run his first steer before lunch. I'm not sure what time he goes but I just got this fluttering feeling in my stomach... like I get right before he runs his steer at the rodeo's I'm at. I wonder if that means he just ran his steer?! I'm loosing it obviously...

I've been fine all morning but now I'm nervous for him. I want him to succeed so bad. I've prayed for his success and his peace and clarity of mind, I've prayed all week long. Since I started reading the book I've been blogging about, I've been praying hard.

He's worked so hard the past month, working out every day, practicing every day, filming his practices so he can critique every run. I just hope he does good, if not this week then eventually. I know if this isn't what God wants him to do that God will help him find his way..its just that Steer Wrestling makes Sean so happy. I hope this is what he is called to do.

I forgot my Cell phone this morning so every time my office phone rings I think it's Sean, and of course it isn't. I need to take some valium or something..This is totally not normal to be so nervous about a silly rodeo! I need some chocolate..

Relationships 2

First of all I would like to say a HUGE thank you to each of you that commented on my post Relationships. It really meant a lot to me to hear all of the wonderful, helpful, encouraging words each of you e-mailed me or left a comment. Even though most of us have never met, I feel that the Blog world is a blessing from God that has introduced me to so many wonderful women that have a heart for Jesus and that are going through some of the same things I am. Thanks again to all of you.

I wanted to give you a little bit more of the suggestions that are in the book, "The power of a Praying Wife" by Stormie Omartian

Pray that God helps your husband to become the Head of the household spiritually and in all other aspects of the relationship.   If you have trouble allowing that to happen ask God to help you.

If your husband tends to let you down, Let go of silly expectations.  Remember, You cannot Change your husband, only God can.  Ask God to make changes in your husband and in you so you can appreciate the good things your husband does do.

Always Respect your husband.  If you don't, Ask God to change your heart so you CAN respect your husband and ask for forgiveness for when you've shown lack of respect. When God does change your heart, you will see your husband in a different light. If you husband doesn't deserve respect, ask God to help change your husbands heart also.
Pray for your husbands job.  Pray that God helps your husband find the job that God wants him to have.   If your husband does have the job that God wants him to have, pray for success and happiness in his job.

Pray that God gives you and your husband the wisdom to handle money wisely.  Don't be anxious about your finances,  God will provide.

Pray that God will bless your sexuality.  Ask God to deliver each of your from bondage of past mistakes if you can't let go of them.  Most women love affection, like hugs and kisses.  If you aren't getting enough from your husband, Ask God for physical affection between the two of you.

Pray that God will keep each of you away from temptations.   If faced with a temptation pray that God will help you both resist that temptation.

Well there's a lot more things I've learned but that will be for another post.  This book has really helped me try to treat my husband better and the fact that I'm praying for him makes me want to be better and helps me to remember how I'm supposed to act as a wife.  We all love our husbands and some of this may not apply to your life, but I just wanted to share with you what I've learned so far.
