I Got One!

Hey Look!!!  I got a questions in my little box over on my side bar...you can ask me any question you may want to know and, if appropriate, I will answer it!
(Because i know everyone is so interested in my life and all... insert sarcasm)

So Tiffany at Munchkinmommy asked me

What flowers did you have in your bridal bouquet?

I got follow up question on this post so I will edit to add::
NO BUMP-IT'S WERE USED IN THE MAKING OF MY HAIRDO!  haha   Us southern girls just automatically have huge hair :)
Well... First of all, My wedding colors were pink yellow and orange.  In my Brides maids boquets I went with pink, yellow, and orange Gerbera Daisies and filled in the gaps with  Pink, yellow, and orange Roses, wrapped in a black satin ribbon.

In my boquet I had Gerbera Daisies and Roses also, but added Yellow and Orange Day lilys. (orange day lily's are my favorite flower) It was wrapped in green leafy things (i'm sure they have a proper name) I gave my florist and photo and She was so awesome that it turned out EXACTLY how I'd imagined it!!

In this photo I'm carying a couple of hankerchiefs so you can't really see the green things that well.  Those hankercheifs are really important because the first one is one that Sean wore home from the hospital when he was born, it used to be a hat or some sort.  The other is our Millwood family hankercheif.  The initials of all the married grandchildren are monogrammed along the edges.  So far there are only three married grandkids.  I jokingly asked if Sean and I got a divorce would we unstich his inital and then restich my next husbands in ha!

Thanks Tiffany!!

Valentines Day

Photobucket
Today's Valentine's day post is about your favorite Wedding Memory.

I don't really have any "favorite" Memories.  I had a wonderful day and I have a sucky memory anyway but, of the memories I do have, I can't just pick one over the others.

Some fun parts of the day included when Sean and I first saw each other.  We decided to take photos before the wedding and We cleared the sanctuary. Sean stood where he was going to stand during the wedding up in the front and I opened the doors to the sanctuary and walked down the isle to him.  It was so much fun because we got to hug and talk and cry (me) all by ourselves without anyone else there (except the photographer.) She got a photo of Sean's expression when I walked in and mine as I was walking to him.  She got us talking for the first time (from afar) and those photos are so special.  I ordered a story book so I don't have any photos to scan and post...I guess I can take photos of the book when I get home and post them!

Another fun memory is after we kissed the preacher had us turn toward the crowd and said.. "Ladies and Gentlmen for the first Time I'd like to introduce to you Jenna & Sean....."  (whispers to best man "Whats their last name"   best man whispers 'Thomas')  "Mr & Mrs. Sean Thomas"!  I laughed and Sean laughed and all of the church laughed! It was funny.

We had a 2:00 wedding so after the wedding, me & Sean and all of our friends went to my aunts house (which was unoccupied and forsale)  and had a big party and swam for hours until it was time to go catch our flight!  We had a great time!  Then everyone stayed at our barn (we have a live in area and kitchen in the barn) and played washers and ate all the left over wedding food!  I kind of wish we could've stayed and hung out but our plane left at like 6 am so we had to get on the road!

Come back later this afternoon and I'll have posted some Pictures of my wedding pictures  :)

PS  Sean's Rodeoing in Belton Tx Tonight!!!   Send some prayers up for us!!  We need the money but more importantly a win would really be good for Sean's spirits right now..he's starting to get down on himself!  Thank you!!

Wedding Flowers/Party

Today's "Show us your life" that Kelly is hosting, is Wedding Party/Flowers/rest of your wedding! I'm excited to see every one's pictures! My photographer was great, but we opted for a coffee table book that had a collage of all my wedding pictures. It was beautiful but unfortunately I don't have many pictures to put online, they are all hard copies, not digital.

Here's a pic of me and my bridesmaids.
Music:
I had the candle lighters light the candles to "the feather theme" if you've ever watched Forrest Gump it's the piano song they play at the end of the movie when the feather is floating in the air. I watched Forrest Gump a few months before the wedding and thought it was so pretty!! I had two songs sung by my uncle and cousins who live in Nashville TN and are extremely talented musicians. They sang "Oh Love" by Brad Paisley & Carrie Underwood, and another song that I'm not quite sure of the title but it was something along the lines of "When God made you he must have been thinking of me." That song was sung as the parents were being seated. We walked down the Isle to the traditional wedding march. After Dad gave me away, as Sean and I were were walking up the steps my uncle sang the first verse of "Look at You Girl" by Chris Ledoux and my cousin played the guitar. It was sweet, I cried. We left to the traditional wedding song that everyone uses to exit to, I'm not sure of the name of it...

Wedding Attire:
This is my wedding party pictured below. I have so many friends that it was either four brides maids, which consisted of my two sisters, my cousin, and my best friend in the world, or about 15 bridesmaids, and I just couldn't afford that!

I don't know if you can tell in the photo but the Bridesmaids' dresses were tea length and had a white ribbon around the waist. The flower Girls were exactly the opposite, white with black ribbons. I don't have any photo's of my candle lighters on this computer, but there were three, the two girls wore orange and pink dresses that matched my flowers, and the boy wore a tux with a yellow vest.

The guys specifically asked to be "blacked out" so they wore black vests, black shirts, and black ties. They thought they looked so "Johnny Cash" They threatened to wear Sunglasses. I told them I would kill them all if that happened. Except I just edited a few of the words I used because my mother reads this blog. :)

I had two flower girls and two ring bearers. Two of them had parents in the wedding party and the other two were like family to me so I wanted them to be apart of the wedding. I was glad I asked two flower girls, because one of the flower girls saw her grandmother as she was halfway down the isle and decided to just stop there and sit with her.
Flowers/Decorations
Ok so in the picture below, ignore the bride and look at the back ground. If you'll look in the picture above you can see the four wooden posts that are holding up the flowers, in the picture below you can only see two of them. I wanted some type of arch and my dad and one of his friends made this out of our old wooden swing set that they had taken down about a year earlier.

The florist draped lots of greet from the top and put a huge arrangement in the center. (See below) It was beautiful, there were two arrangements on the ground on either side and ferns across the half wall behind us. (you can see that in the picture above)

My colors were yellow, orange, fuchsia, and black. I used Day Lily's, Gerbera Daisy's and roses as my flowers. Below are the bouquets. The bridesmaids' bouquets were wrapped at the bottom with black satin ribbon and mine was wrapped in green grass like stuff, (I'm sure there is a specific name for the green grass like stuff, I just don't know it.)The pic above and the pic below are just more of my bouquets, my two sisters are the girls below.
Check out my Wedding Dress from the past "Show us your life Friday!"

Well that's all the pictures I have on this computer. Hope you enjoyed looking at my stuff!! :) Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your weekend!

Wedding Dress

Yay! I'm super excited about Kelly's "show us your Life" post today! It's Wedding Dresses!!! I love love love looking at every one's wedding dresses! My favorite part about planning my wedding was picking out the dress.

I lived in Houston when Sean and I got engaged so I searched all over Houston for dresses. I got to try on one million dresses but never found one I liked. I finally came back home to Arkansas and went to Low's Bridal shop in Brinkley and found the perfect dress. If you are anywhere near Arkansas I totally recommend going there. I'd drive across the country to go here actually..I LOVED Low's. I could've stayed in that place FOREVER. It's an old Hotel and it's three stories of dresses. Each dress is on a mannequin so you get to look at what it looks like on a body instead of trying to decide what it looks like from hanging on the rack. The dressing rooms are AMAZING! Mirrors are everywhere and you can see yourself from every angle possible. These two pictures my mom took while the photographer was taking shots. They show the dress the best so ignore my stupid expression and just look at the dress! ha! The dress was overlaid in a chiffon layer that had intricate lace and beads. The bodice was beaded and tied in a criss cross corset down the back. My favorite part of the dress was the silk band and broach that went around my waist. The way it laid really made my waist look small!I had my portraits made in Sean's pasture. I liked the look of the Yellow "weeds." I loved the way the church was decorated but my church has Red carpet so it made for ugly pictures.

Well That's My dress! Thanks for stopping by!
