Ok So I haven't been taking many photos of anything other than photo shoots so Me and the dogs have been hanging out with the camera a bit.

The trees are beginning to look beautiful...their leaves are coming off quick though!
Bird got into the trash and got it everywhere.. I spanked her and put her in the dog house for awhile...

She's too cute to stay mad a though...

This Chick makes her home on the porch shelf next to the Dog's raw hides and the Paint!!
She hasn't moved for weeks!!  She has no eggs...any idea why she's doing that??

Banjo is as lazy as ever...

He won't even get up to fight with Bird..he just rolls over..

Birdie on the other hand is as wild as ever.   She is a master at catching balls in the air
 She's obsessed...

 I love my dogs.
Have a great week and a Happy Thanksgiving!! Don't eat too much!

A Butterfly & a Bull Rider.

Happy Halloween Everyone!!  Banjo and Birdie LOVE their new outfits!!  Poor dogs.. ha
They both didn't mind having the outfits on...they were really interested in chewing on each others costumes though!

You may notice that Bird is still skinny...She had a false pregnancy so no puppies until next spring.  That may be a good thing though because that means she'll get to go on her first duck hunt here in the next few weeks!

The Cowboy on Banjo the Bull's back did not last 8 seconds.  Birdie had him chewed up in about 2.4 seconds!

Happy Halloween!!! Be Safe!

Hay Jumping

Ever Been Hay Jumping??  Last week my MIL had a Roping clinic for kids at the house.  They had a blast on the hay that was just put up... The Chocolate Children had a little fun too...

Don't you wish you still had this much energy??
Banjo and Birdie had so much fun with the kids.  Birdie was really scared of them at first and then they started playing fetch with her and she fell in love.
I love taking photos of my dogs jumping bales...their faces are so funny!
Banjo's always turn out funnier because his jowels are so floppy!
Poor ole Banjo got really tired...
Or he pretended to....   He really liked the attention he got from acting tired anyway.

Then he took a nap...

I want a nap....

Toothsoap

I thought I'd enter my dogs in the Funny or Cute Pet Pic contest to see if I can win them some tooth soap to help their smelly breath.
I desperately  need toothsoap for my dogs.  We live on a farm and they like to eat cow poop and horse hoof clippings.  Just for the record both of these things smell very very bad.  I could totally use some tooth soap to clean there little teethys!

I know I post this picture ALL the time but It's too funny not to....  My dogs LOVE to jump hay bales.  We have none right now so this was from last summer.  They start on one end and run all the way to the other as fast as they can.  Silly dogs.

Uberfallen!! or "Attack"

Well My sister Finally Graduated this past weekend.  I went to my home town and had a very relaxing weeking that consisted of Naps, Fishing, and helping Haul Hay.  The chocolate Children went with me and napped on the way.  They love each other so much.  Notice the Seat Protector I bought on ebay for 20 bucks....on Cabelas for like 75!  I'm so thrifty...ha

Here's a graduation photo.  It rained and hailed so they had the graduation on the indoor practice field.  It was so humid and hot that I looked like a wet dog.  Here are me and my sisters and our other "sisters" (close family friends)  When we got home we were without electricity for about an hour so I turned on my lap top and taught mom how to line dance to Copperhead Road because I'm cool like that.

Sean Had a great weekend.  He won about 800 bucks and was .1 second away from winning and additional $1,000.  That's POINT 1 second!!!  so close...but close only counts in horse shoes and hand grenades....oh and he also hung his spur in the saddle horn to loose what would have been a pretty good check in the average.  Why can't he catch a break?!

Last week I got to visit the Saline County Jail.   And No I wasn't arrested.  I went on a "field trip"  As a member of the Saline County Leadership Board, we get to tour all the things that make Saline county run.  We also got to visit one of the new Fire Stations, and I rode up 100 feet in the ladder truck.  It was a little nerve racking.  I took photos on my Camera Phone.  I didn't take my big camera because I wasn't expecting such fun experiences that day ha!
Here's the view from 100 feet up.
And here's all the chickens that wouldn't go.

The County Jail was a horrible expereience.  Let me just say that after visiting the Jail, I would never EVER want to do anything to have to put myself in that position..it was HORRIBLE.  They had five "pods" where the inmates are all together and they just sit there, all day.  I couldn't handle it!  I would drive myself Crazy.  I felt as if I needed a shower after we left because it was so dirty..not that they didn't clean it was just 30 people living in one room...it got messy.

Anyway at the Police Station we got ambushed by the S.W.A.T. team.  It scared the ever living crap out of me.  They turned off the lights and set off a light bomb and came busting in the room with all their gear on and guns..man it was scary.  I would've done anything they asked had it been a real live situation!  Glad I'm not a criminal...  And then we met Lucky, who was the most well trained dog I'd ever seen.  He was so sweet and loveable and then with one German word (yeah he spoke german) He would attack.  He was amazing.
One minute he was just chillin...
And then "Attack" (in german)
Yeah, My dogs won't do that.  Unless you're a cow..and then they just bark.

Knock Knock, Who's there?

This is what I walked up to yesterday after work.  My puppies were worn out from playing too hard!

Then I fed my chickens...can you believe how much they've grown!?

I walked up the front steps to go inside and a few seconds later heard someone knocking on the front door.

Guess Who??
Haha! They were seriously trying to follow me inside!! They were trying to fly through the glass ha! They are so funny!  Have a great night!

Chillin with my Peeps

"Shake your tail feather!"

So I didn't realize how interesting it would be raising chickens.  I always thought that chickens were extreamly stupid and simple but they are acutally pretty complex little birdies.  The only chicken I've ever been around was ChickChick, the barnyard sole surviour of the 25 chickens my MIL got when Sean and I first got married.  (She didnt' get them because we got married, just around the same time...that sentence implied that she bought them because we got married and I just wanted to clairfy)  Frosty the horse Stepped on ChickChick the "last of the chickens" when Sean and I were feeding one night and we thought she was a goner.  Sean's Mom nursed ChickChick back to health, keeping her in the well house and hand feed her since she couldn't stand for the next few weeks.  She emerged from the well house as good as new except she walked with a pimp step and would randomly lay eggs while walking across the barnyard.   (for those of you who don't know what a well house is, I'm sorry.  I refuse to explain)

Chick Chick met her maker after being chased around by some friendly dogs.  I think she would have made it away from the dogs if not for her pimp step.  They ran her into a heartattack.  That's why noone should walk with a pimp step...

So back to my chicks.  They look to me as their Mama now and they follow me around in the back yard.  Three of them almost have all of their wing feathers and the others aren't far behind.

Today I let them outside during my lunch break and I noctied it must be something about the Circle T that makes chickens just gangster because I swear my chickens were throwing up signs...
"What up my peeps?"
Seriously though...What are they doing this for?  I can only guess that they are sun bathing maybe?  or airing out their underwings...much like a human might need to do if no deodorant was applied?
At first it was just this little guy above...I thought "aww he's hurt his wing and foot..."
Ok then four of six started doing it...WHAT ARE THEY DOING THAT FOR??
With the help of my MIL I've come to the conclusion that they were just basking in the sun.  Hey check out the chick standing up...I think I'm naming it BirdieToo because it's a runt.(much like Birdie)  It's the same age as the others yet hasn't grown his wings yet.  I'm also pretty sure he is the chick that one of the little girls during photos didn't realize how tight she was squeezing it and it momentarily saw the light.  He may be a little "off"...

I'm having to keep them inside at night because it's still to cold for them.  This is their inside home.  I was sitting on the couch and heard some louder than normal peeps and turned around and they were all perched on top of the box...except for the "off" one,  he couldnt' quite make it...poor little fella
So I gave the little guy a perch to sit on.  this picture is a bit blurry because it's hard to take a photo with your left hand while holding chickens in your right. but you get the gist.

Ok and now I can't forget these children of mine.
Birdie's pissed because she can't play with the chickens....and Banjo could care less either way.
Have a fabulous friday and and even more wonderful weekend!
