Hi

Well It's been a Painful yet Productive week at my house.  Celiac Disease has made me feel like death, yet I've cleaned out the house and am getting ready for a garage sale later this weekend.  I have also painted all the doors in my house...ok well three and I'm still working on the rest.. I've painted them an off white color that matches the trim.

When I moved in to this house two years ago the girl that lived in it prior to me decided she wanted to paint the trim off white.  I don't quite know what happened but she stopped about halfway through and did only half of the doors.  So when we painted the house we painted the trim and I thought, "I'll do the doors later"  well two years later I'm finally painting the doors...pretty sad that I'm that procastinational...if that's even a word.

This weekend I drove up to Fayetteville and got deathly sick thanks to a run in with Gluten and didn't get to go to the Razorback game..but I did get to visit with my family so that made the trip worth while.  I also got to do a family photo shoot on Saturday around noon on campus.  I was a little disappointed with the photos, I wish I would've gotten more shots that were more creative but I was just feeling awful so I guess I'm glad I got the shots that I did.

Since I finally got some more Storage so I can upload photos here are some of my sister at the game a few weeks ago...

I also did a Photo Shoot On Sunday afternoon and Yesterday afternoon.  I'll have to post those later.

I am really enjoying the cooler weather that is starting to set in.  I wish the weather would stay like this year round.  I wish the leaves would stay as beautiful as they are right now too..what a colorful fall!
Check out a photo I took at the river yesterday...the leaves are gorgeous

Ok well I'm full of boring stuff so I'll leave you with this...

When life gives you lemons...
...throw them at mean people.

Go Hogs

You guys!!!   I'm so excited.  I was so bummed that no one replied to my last post...  I get my comments via email and didn't get a single one.  Then I opened my blog and realized that tons of you replied and it just made my entire weekend!!!  I forgot how much fun blogging was.. apparently all of my comments are going straight to my spam folder..I'll have to fix that
Ok so 5QF

1. What is the most physically painful thing that has ever happened to you?

I suppress any memories of painful events.  pain makes me passout and throw up.  Probably the most painful thing will be next week when I start going back to the gym..that will probably be pretty painful

2. How much sleep do you get at night?
Not much..Maybe 8 hours.  But i don't sleep that entire time..

3. How long did you believe in Santa Claus? How did you find out that he does not exist?
Wait i'm sorry what?  I don't under stand.  He does exist just like the M & M guys...

Until I was in the second grade, My mom told me he wasn't real because she was afraid I'd get made fun of when actually I was one of the first to find out.  I was devistated I cried for hours, which made mom cry because she felt bad for telling me.  I don't think my kids will have a Santa...

4. What was the last movie you saw in a theater?
Secretariat... It was pretty good

5. What do you wear to bed?
Old t-shirts that are so old they are soft!

Yay so link up to Mama.M if you want to play!

Ok so remember a long time ago when I bragged a lot on how my sister was the alternate on the Arkansas Razorback Cheer Squad?
Well on my break from the blogging world She got to Cheer at a game and I went to see her!  We had the best time...  And guess what!?  She's cheering again on Tomorrow so I'll be going back and watching the Hogs!!  WOOOO PIG SOOIE!!

Here are just a few of the photos I took.  I took like over 200 and I think I embarassed my little sister.  I couldn't help it though! Watching her brought a tear to my eye..or it could've just been allergies.

Oh and ps. she made it on TV like a billion times.. apparently the camera man loved her (maybe it was because she was on the end next to him)  but I've had tons of people tell me they saw her..I mean she's pratically famous in our small town!

So apparently I've used all my free space on my blog and I can't upload any more photos until I buy more space...  So I'll post more photos later.
The photo below is before the game..see the cheerleaders on top of the trailer?  It's holding Tusk the Razorback mascott!!

She was calling the hogs in the photo above...she her lips are saying  whoooo..haha

Well Have a Great Friday!!!

Photo Shoot

Melissa let me do her photos last weekend.  She's a very easy subject to shoot because she's very photogenic.  I thought they turned out great.  Here's the first half I liked.  I haven't gotten to the other half just yet.
I'm in love with the truck she's standing on.  I want it so bad but it's our neighbors who's son is going to restore it..bummer.  I just want the body so I can take photos with it!

I Heart Faces-Melissa

This week the I Heart Faces theme is "celebrating Teens"
This weekend I took photos for my youngest sister, 18 yr old Melissa.
She leaves for College in the Fall.
I thought this photo captured her Spirit and her beauty.  She hates how her eyes dissappear when she smiles, but I think it gives her character and makes her even prettier!! I don't know why I loved this particular photo so much, maybe it was the color.  It was my favorite out of all 300 photos I took.  She's so photogenic all 300 turned out great.  You can see more of the Photo shoot Here!  Happy Monday!

TGIF

What a week...It's finally Friday...5QF!

1. What is your worst memory of your siblings?

Leah I remember her crying all the time and being very dramatic about it.  When she was like 6 or so I took my GirlTalk and recorded one of her fits of her "fake crying and wailing"  It only made her madder :)  I used to giggle when she got spankings...she did when I got spankings too though...  Don't feel bad for her because she was stronger than me and would wrestle me to the ground quite often.
I don't really have bad memories of my siblings...

I don't ever remember having any bad memories of Melissa.  Of course our age difference has a lot to do with that...   I do have to state here that my memory is horrible though.. But she was such a sweet child.  I do remember getting onto her onetime and spanking her.  I spanked her too hard and left a red hand print on her butt.  I felt awful and i'm pretty sure I never spanked her after that.

2. What was YOUR naughtiest childhood memory? (Must be something YOU did, no pawning it off on someone else!)
Again, I have a horrible memory, or maybe I just block out the bad stuff but I remember putting a quarter in my mouth, and then lying to my mom about putting it in my mouth when she had just watched me do it...I got a spanking.  I'll always remember that spanking too because I learned my lesson and man it hurt...Leah giggled.  Ya know I don't think I lied ever to my mom after that...

3. Where do you like to go to relax?
A bubble bath or out to my front lawn under the oak trees...trees help me relax.

4. What was the last thing you won?
I never win anything anymore. I think the last thing I won was an argument with Sean.

5. If you could be on a game show, which would you choose?
Who wants to be a millionare.

So My chickens are starting to flock to me when I walk within their view..  It's funny because they take off running towards me, their heads bobbing back and forth.  It's acutally a little frightening.  I'm not sure why, but they kind of scare me a bit....their beady eyes have no love in them.  If I sit on the front steps they will jump onto my lap/sholder/back/arm/etc..it's quite hilarious

Does this make me white trash??  I think I'm going to try and pull it off as hippy chic instead of white trash...See I'm trying to save the planet and Go Green by laying my own eggs and using chickens to eat the mosquitos instead of pesticide....

Keep my cousins Jason & Miranda in your thoughts and prayers.  If you'll remember their house and cars were flooded in the Nashville TN floods. They are having to gut the house from the water level down..  Here's a photo that Miranda posted on her facebook today...It must be hard for them.

Have a Great weekend!

My Weekend

Wow, what a weekend.  Storms ripped through Arkansas and did some major damage.  Not as much as in TN but a few tornados tore up a few communities.  My weekend started off Early Friday night.  Mom & Dad picked me up in Benton and we headed off to Pocahontas Arkansas to watch my youngest sister compete in the State Track Meet.  Pocahontas is about 5 hours from my home town so Dad decided to take our horse trailer (with living quarters) up on Friday night so we could be there early on Saturday morning for the start of the meet and not have to get up at 5 am.

BTW their horse trailer is nicer than most hotels :)  It has a slide out and a very comfortable couch that Gretchen (their dog) and I slept on.  Friday Night we drove through some major rain and got to the High School to set up the trailer to get some sleep.  We found a birds nest in the back of the trailer.  I felt really sorry for the Momma Bird that returned to find her eggs gone ...

Please notice that this nest was made of hay and Horse Hair!!

Right about the time this photo was taken the Tornado sirens started blaring and the rain was comming down so hard that you couldn't hear inside the trailer nor stand because the wind was rocking it back and forth....   We decided to make a run for the truck where dad was listening to a Bball game on XM radio.  Because ya know..you can outrun a tornado in a truck pulling a horse trailer....

Here's dad checking the weather...he wasn't happy he had to turn off the game... and below is mom reading my radar..she was very worried.

So was I...I just tried to pretend the weather was good and just took photos...
Notice the Purple Triangle...that means Tornado on the ground.

Gretchen was worried too...not because of the storms but because no one was spoiling her.

The next day was beautiful and Hot and I have a major farmers tan now..ew.
Melissa did great, and their team won state.  Here are some photos I got thoroughout the day.

Fourth in the Pole Vault..not bad for 5 foot nothing!

Long jump,  Not her best day... But still placed.

300m Hurdles
The boys won state too...

This is the fourth year in a row that Melissa's track team has won state..
And the trophy is bigger than her...
Hope you enjoyed reading all about my family weekend and I hope you are dead from boredom:)
***edited to add.... i hope you are NOT dead from boredom...wow I'm sorry I just wished everyone was dead...???

Go Hogs Go!!

This weekend I slept...a lot and did piles and piles of laundry.  And slept..a lot.  I had softball practice and then slept somemore..  I swear that trip to Ohio took the life outta me!  It's insane how much an hour time change makes on your sleeping schedule.
This weekend Melissa got to Cheer at the Razorback's practice game.  For those of you who didn't catch my post she made Alternate on the Squad.  She gets to do everything they do except cheer at some of the games.  She got to cheer Saturday and even though I didn't get to go, Mom got some great photos!  Aren't her and her bf cute?
Doesn't she looks so good in Razorback Red!?  Woo Pig Sooie!

For those of you who aren't familiar with the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Hog Call that we do I found this article on the Razorback's website and found it funny.  I like how they made the Hog Call so Formal..haha.

"A chant of “Woo Pig Sooie” is known worldwide as a Hog Call. Just like any good tradition, there are lots of versions of the Hog Call (even spellings).

A properly executed Hog Call is composed of three “calls,” slowly raising one’s arms from the knees to above the head during the “Woo.” Traditionalists prescribe an eight second “Woo.” The fingers should be wiggled and the “Woo” should build in volume and pitch as the arms rise.

Upon completion of the “Woo,” both arms are brought straight down with fists clinched as if executing a chin-up while yelling, “Pig”. The right arm is extended up and out with the “Sooie.”

A full Hog Call -- the kind one will always hear victorious Razorback teams execute after contests -- requires two more Hog Calls, followed immediately by a “Razor-Backs” yell, coordinated with a pumping motion of the right arm after the third “Sooie.” So, in order, the full Hog Call is:

Woooooooo. Pig. Sooie!

Woooooooo. Pig. Sooie!

Woooooooo. Pig. Sooie!

Razorbacks!"

I Couldn't help but laugh out loud after reading that...it's funny to me. "the fingers should be wiggled"  haha

It's funny..all Arkansans know the hog call..We vacationed in Florida and at a restaraunt someone started calling the Hogs and apprarently we weren't the only Razorback Fans, about three other tables joined in!  Can't wait for Football Season!
I hear that Kinley Calls the hogs really well..can't wait for that Video to  be posted!!! Erin!
