Chickens and Swamps

I'm pretty sure I will make a horrible parent.  I lost another chicken yesterday.  I think Birdie swallowed it whole.  I've been told once dogs get a taste of chicken they won't stop.  I thought her pen was closed and let the Chicks in the front yard and went inside to change.  I was inside for five minutes and Birdie had injured one's leg and then another was MIA.  I searched for it for about 45 minutes and then just gave up.  When I realized one of the chickens was injured I tried to doctor it as much as possible..but I think it will loose the use of that leg.  So I have 3 and 1/2 chickens left out of six.... I'm starting to think I'm not very good at raising chickens...

Now on to better things...
Did you guys watch the news story about the Autistic girl that was lost in the swamp in Flordia?  I saw this a few days ago and just felt so sorry for her family because I assumed it was another murder.  But this morning, 4 days later, they found her!!  I watched the interview with her rescuer on Today on NBC and it was a beautiful interview!  He praised God and gave all the glory to God throughout the inteveriew.  Read the story here  it is definately a miracle!!

And in American Idol News....

Again this week, Casey, Lee, and Crystal were amazing.
I think that Micheal did good this week and I really was impressed with Aarons voice, though the performance was a little odd.  Tim improved a huge amount from the last couple of weeks and his performance was great..but he is just not up to the voices of the others.
Chavon needs to go...her voice is getting weirder and weirder.  Katie had a good performance I just can't stand her nasaly voice and Andrew didn't impress anyone.

So I think Andrew and Tim should go...But after the Suprise of Micheal being voted off last week I have no idea who it will be!!

AI

Well After a long hard battle with computer viruses I'm back online at home! Woot Woot! I am now using Sean's Widescreen HP with Windows Vista! It's different from my handy Mac and a lot bigger but that's ok. I'll learn to deal until one day I can afford a new Mac...which will be far in the future. So now you'll get to read a lot more of my random boring thoughts!

On to American Idol.

wow

Just Wow

how was Katie picked over Lily and Katelyn? How was Tim and Aaron picked over Alex?
Did you see Lily's face when they announced Katie was staying...it was a look of disbelief and shock. Sean rewound it like five times. I felt bad for her, I felt bad for Katie too... I hope Lily fan's don't take it out on her. sean and I were both really upset that Alex (or Mullet boy as sean calls him) went home. He was one of our favs...
Oh well

I'm confused America... I'm confused.

American Idol

What was up with the Judges last night?!  I disagreed with the majority of what they said.   Kara is annoying the crap out of me too..she tries to be way too dramatic!

Ok So here are my top picks

I Thought Crystal Looked great last night...She reminded me a lot of Jewel.  Was that just the teeth or does the girl really look like Jewel?  Her song was great, she really didn't have any bad moments!
Katelyn Looked Fabulous last night.  She looked way better than last week and really suprised me.  I didn't realize she was that great of an artist before last night.  I was pissed the judges were so hard on her.  It was a great performance.
I thought Paige did great too.  The judges, again weren't impressed..WEre they paying attention???  Girl can Sing!
I was almost ready to fight Kara and all of the judges for that matter on their comments to DiDi.  Her voice is so clear and beautiful and the song wasn't that wrong for her.  I am so dissappointed in the judges..I think they are trying to make her go home..Why?  They made her cry too...I hope they go home and relisten to the show and apologize.  She's great!

This girl is so weird I don't know what to make of her.  I really wanted Vera Wang to jump up out of her seat and redress this girl.  She's so weird... and is she a little bit slow?  Because I think she's either mental challanged, an air head, or smoked way to much pot.
I thought the judges were way to hard on Lacey too.  She sounded great, she looked great, and she had fun.  Her voice is so unique and clear.  I loved it!
I hate this girls voice. Hate hate hate it. I like clear voices and hers is so opposite. She's really annoying too, but she hit the majority of the notes so I have to put her above the people below her.
This performance was Horrible,  I kept waiting for her to get into the song and get loud but it just went all wrong and off key.  THe judges loved it though...I wasn't digging her outfit either..and those half gloves confused me but the judges like it so whatever

Ok Honey it's time for you to go home...  Try again next year.
In my opinion as far as Voices go, this was the order of Good to bad.  But sadly, the final six is voted on by America, and not by Jenna so I think the voices will have nothing to do with it.

Move Over Kara

Ok so Today is the American Idol Boys Recap...I apologize if you don't care about American idol but from now until the end of season my Wed-Friday posts will be about AI...I'll try to post a normal post too..

I don't know why the Judges have been raving about the girls all season because the Boys were waaay better in my opinion. The first few weeks of idol wears me out because we know who the top singers our so I wish we could just skip to the top 6 or 8 and make everyone else just leave...I'd just be speeding up the inevitable...

I again took notes...except after a few singers I dropped my pen and Birdie was curled up in my lap and I didn't want to get off the recliner to get my pen. After unsuccessfully trying to get Banjo to fetch my pen..I just gave up and quit writing..

Ok My top picks have their photo beside them.  I know they take six boys but I can't decide who will be the sixth guy..I'll have to hear more to decide.
Oh and Kara needs to watch her back...Casey is Mine!!! haha

Todrick: yuck...that's all I wrote for him. I had high hopes for Todrick because boy can sing...but last night just was weird and awkward. He remixed Since you've been gone by Kelly Clarkson and It was a risk I'll admit..but it was just weird.

Aaron Kelly: He sang A Rascal Flats song and I didn't realize his voice was so Country. I can't believe he's only 16 because he has a great voice. Simon called him "cute" and I agree but he won't be around for long..unless he's like David Archeletto and stays around forever..gah that really bothered me that season I thought he sucked.

Jermaine: He sang a song I'd never heard before. And WTH was he wearing? Was that a tux jacket with tails? He was horrible. He hurt my ears and the judges were waaay to easy on him. He was off the majority of the song.

Tim Urban: He sang "Apologize" by One Republic. I really like this guy but he has a weird high voice and it wasn't that impressive. I thought the end was way better than the beginning. I thought the judges were way to hard on him. He was about to cry. I was going to vote for him just because the judges were really hard on him but then I forgot to vote altogether.

Joe Munoz: He sang "You and I" by Jason Maraz. I love that song. I don't remember Joe at all. He had a great voice and a great look but the song choice was way to safe. I'd like to see what his voice can really do!

This is where I dropped my pen.

Tyler: The Seventy's guy. His performance was so memorable I didn't need to take notes to remember! He sang American Woman. I thought the overall performance was great! His voice sounded bad but I could tell that he can sing he just got way too into the song. I liked his look and I don't think he's pretending to be a 70's rocker like the judges said. I think he is really just like that. It will be sad to see him change his look like the judges suggested.

Lee: Lee sang Chasing cars by Snow Patrol and it was Awesome! He has a great voice and the judges wanted to see him sing something "rock-ier" but I liked him. He's super cute too!

John was next and I don't remember what he sang but I don't remember liking it. I think it was a slow song and I wasn't impressed.

Michael sang This Love by Maroon 5 and he's just a great singer. He's so big he made the guitar look like a toy. He's got a great voice and he kept talking back to the judges and it cracked me up.

Alex Lambert was next and he sang a Jim Morrison song and sounded just like him. He has a mullet. He needs to cut the mullet. It's weird. He can sing good too.

Casey was next. As I watched my boyfriend sing "Heaven" by Brian Adams to me, I couldn't help but get chills because of How great he is! His hair was a little to styled for me though. I'll have to call him and tell him to fix it differently tomorrow. The judges and Kara made complete asses of themselves teasing him about Kara liking him. Kara turned red and really embarrassed Casey. It was ridiculous. Maybe the judges can control themselves next week. His country accent reminds me of Sean's. I called Sean after Casey's performance and told him I wanted a divorce and that I was going to marry Casey and he laughed and said that Casey lived a few towns over from the guys he's rodeoing with in Stevenville. I immediately made plans to ride out to Stevenville with Sean this summer once Idol is over and Casey is back home so I can stalk him:)

I do hope you all realize I'm joking...kind of.

Andrew Garcia was last He was Amazing. He can really sing and he is a great artist. I think he will make it to the top. He remixed the song "sugar we're going down" by the Fall Out Boys. He made it slow and did it acoustically and this song was way to dark lyrically to be that slow. I liked the sound of it though. I've always wondered what the singer was saying in the chorus and now since Andrew slowed it down for me I know :) "Drop a Heart, Break a Name"

Ok So that's my recap. I'm one step closer to having a computer! Yay! I've got the virus' gone and working on figuring out how to hook my phone up for internet!

Have a great Thursday!

American Idol

I started watching American Idol during Fantasia's season and when It was over I was totally exhausted.  So I missed out on Carrie Underwood's Season and then decided that it was much fun to be exausted and watch American Idol than to have a life and I haven't missed an episode since.

Something about the American Idol theme music reminds me that spring is approaching and takes me back to College nights when my roommate and I would sit on the couch with the windows open, letting in the spring air and judging the contestants. We would rate them 1-10 and then only vote once for the top singers, believing our one vote would've mattered.

That was all before you could vote 100 times simultaneously and it was much less complicated. You could actually tell who sucked and who was good and who had potential..but after hearing last night's performance and listening all that talk about "star like" quality, and being more original...I was confused on who to vote for...so I just didn't vote.

I've also decided it's ridiculous to even try to predict who will be kicked off on Thursday because in my opinion it's anyone's game...

I would just like to add that I, in no way whatsoever have any business judging any of these ladies and their voices but I'm going to anyway...because it's fun :)

...I took notes during the show :)

And I apparently left the first page somewhere between here and home so I will have to just do contestant 1-3 from memory.

1. Paige Miles-beautiful eyes and hair. She sang a power song..I remember her voice being awesome, her hitting a few off notes, and her music and back up voices being really loud. I think she will go far. I also remembered her wearing a jumpsuit she was SEWN into???? And she had to pee. I remember when we went duck hunting and I had on those waders and was in three feet deep water and I had to pee for four hours....I wouldn't have been able to hit the notes she did, let a lone move...I also wouldn't have told 2 bazillion viewers that I was sewn into my suit and had to pee.

2. Ashley Rodrriguez- she wasn't very memorable. I remember it being ok. She was nervous and pitchy though.

3. Janell Wheeler.  I think she was the blonde that had the curtain tassels on as earrings. She was ok, good voice but picked the wrong song. She should've played her guitar. She's cute.

4. Lily Scot- I still can't figure out if she is just prematurely grey or dyes her hair... It looks good on her though. I also noticed that she likes to wear HUGE feather earrings that are super cool. I loved her voice. She was different and her voice relaxed me. I could totally listen to her every night when I took my relaxing bath but I would probably drop the cd player into the bath so never mind.

5. Katlyn Epperly- HAIR. RED LIP STICK. HAIR. UGLY RED LIPSTICK. WILD HAIR. And she could sing pretty good and looked comfortable on stage.

6. Haeley Vaughn- I'm sorry but I can't stop looking at her mouth! It's huge and smiley all the time. She also looked a little bit like a cabbage patch doll, or a trick-o-treater in a sexy nurse costume. I can't find a photo of her outfit so those of you who missed it be glad (though I'm pretty sure people that didn't watch AI aren't reading this post.)  I liked her voice though...it was all over the place but it's really clear and I like that...her high voice was a little ear numbing though.. But I think she has potential

I just realized that anyone who stumbles across my blog and reads it once won't get half of the things I reference back to..like the bath tub...but I guess they just need to visit more :)

7. Laci Brown: I LOVE her hair...I wish I could pull off her look, but I totally can't even begin to. I liked her voice but for some reason our Satellite was messing up throughout her entire performance so I couldn't tell, but apparently the judges didn't like it...but I really like her voice and she looked so scared so hopefully she can get over the stage fright and show us what she can really do!

8. Michelle Delanor- If it were possible for Eva Longoria-Parker and Eva Mendez to have a baby it would look like Michelle Delanor. She had the cutest outfit on and I loved her hair. She definitely has star quality and even though some of the parts were pitchy I actually really enjoyed her performance.
+=

9. DiDi Benami- Is Brooke White from a few season's ago her twin? Is she really Brook White in disguise trying to win again? Well I love both of their voices so I'm ok if it is. Her voice is so clear I just love it, and I'm not ever afraid that she'll hit a bad note. Oh and was she wearing a rainbow colored afghan over her shirt? I'm confused with that style?

10. Siobhan Magness- I don't like this girl's voice much. Though her high voice is pretty.  She also looks like she got up and threw on some clothes from her closet and had her eyes closed the entire time.  Her performance was weird and creepy. And what was she wearing on her feet? Blocks? it was just weird..but the judges like her though..go figure

11. Crystal Bowersox- I love Alannis so I was immediately excited. She did an awesome job and I'm in love with her voice and I want to brush her hair. I predict her to go really really far.

12. Katie Stevens- Young, Annoying, tried too hard. Annoying. She got into the performance that's for sure. She had fun so I guess that's good. She's annoying though. I didn't like her voice...She is more of an on Broadway singer to me.

Well That's my two cents. I really liked Ellen in place of whatserface She was funny and didn't talk about how wonderful they looked instead of their performance. The skit with Ellen and Simon was hilarious!!! And mom and I both agreed that Ryan Seacrest wins "best dressed."

And again I do realize that I have no business judging these ladies but anyone of them can come to my house and watch me sing and judge me if they'd like.  And they can bring Casey James along with him so I can stare at him and drool.

American Idol

Ok American Idol is my weakness...I watch ever episode every year so those of you who follow along, just get ready for lots of posts on American Idol :)

Ok Number one.  ELLEN WAS GREAT!! She was hilarious and very truthful, I loved her!
And number two...I'm Already In love with a Contestant...Casey James...In Love.  I really hope he sticks around for awhile because I love him.  haha...seriously though  I really like his voice and he is awesome on the guitar and he sings the blues so that makes him a winner in my book!

I've been quite stalkerish since last nights show and have found that he is the lead singer for a southern rock band, the Casey James Band, which is the type of music I LOVE.  I also read that he's a bad boy and has been to jail!!!   ...only for a few days for a DUI, but the article headline made you think he was a murderer or something when really he just got a little to wild and made a bad decision.

Oh well, he's still cute and I LOVE his hair and I love his country boy look.  Check out this Photography website I found that has photos of him and his band.

Ok I'll quit talking about him now..  A few of my other Favorites so far that I hope make it to the top 12 include:

Andrew Garcia:  Sean and I were BLOWN away by his song and voice last night!

DiDi Benarni.  Ok I love her name, I love her clear voice, and She looks a lot like Amy Smart.  And she plays the Guitar!

Crystal Bowersox was another one of my Favorites.  I didn't like her when she originally auditioned, but after last night's show, she won me over!  Her hair fits her personality and her last name is Bowersox and that is just a cool name.

Janell Wheeler....her voice gave me chills...i wanted to listen to her all night long.  And I loved her outfit!  And apparently she used to date Tim Tebow.

So those are my early favorites...Watch tonight at 8 so we can gossip together on all the contestants and who sucked and who was awesome and how wonderful Ellen Degeneres  was as the newest Contestant...That was the Best decision EVER!!  She's going to be hilarious!

Random Things

Here's a few random thoughts for the day.

All Day Long I thought it was Tuesday...It's really Wednesday!

Sean is leaving for Ft. Worth today and is up tomorrow.  Lets pray he does good because we need some mulah!

My Good Blog Friend Trish Gave me an award  Woo Hoo!  Thanks Trish!

Last night at the gym I killed my legs in the weight room and them killed them even more on the treadmill while watching American Idol.  I'm up to run/walking 1.5 miles and it took 20 whole minutes.  I'm gonna have to kick it into gear if I want to run a 5K in four weeks!

Speaking of American Idol...Um  Shania Twain looks older than I remember her...I think it was the hair color?  But she's still beautiful.   And WOo HOo and 16 year old from Arkansas made it to HOllyWOod!!

Another Kris Allen Maybe??

Ok So Any of you guys Baseball fans??   Do you know who Cliff Lee is?  Well he was the pitcher for the Phillies and he is now traded to another team but he is from here in Benton, and knows Sean because they grew up in church together.  I've met him a lot because he goes to the Gym we go to and Every time I see him I just get star struck and speechless because hes so cute and I don't know I just get all giddy when he's around.  He won the Cy Young award last year too and that is just awesome!

Anyways last night after getting the the treadmill, me and my workout partner Stephanie went into the aerobic room to do some yoga stretching and cooling down.  Oh and let me insert here..Sean doesn't work out at my gym anymore, he cancelled his membership since he is on the road so much and now works out at a buddy's house that has a weight room when he's here...ok anyway as we were leaving the cardio room to go to the aerobics room Sean and his workout buddy were at my gym getting a protein shake from the drink bar and him and a couple of people were all talking.  I walked up to him and I was going to be all cute and put my arm around him and hang on him like I was so worn out because of all the running I just did BUT on my way to do that I tripped and rammed into Sean and then lost my balance and fell back and almost knocked another guy down.

It was pretty embarrassing but the most embarrassing thing was when I realized after regaining my footing that one of the guys Sean was talking to was CLiff Lee!!  I was so much more embarassed because he laughed at me.   I was so embarrassed that I just walked off and didn't say anything.  I should've laughed and played it off but I was so nervous in the presence of someone famous that I just walked quickly away and made an even bigger ass of myself.

I'm so smooth and graceful sometimes :)

Have a good Wednesday

First Post of the Week

I am officially a walking zombie. I've gotten very little sleep this week due to cows, horses, husbands, dogs, and Kris Allens. Let me explain...

Last time I posted was Saturday night. We left Paris and headed back to Talihina for the jackpot Sunday. We arrived around 2 a.m. and sleeping in a horse trailer with three snoring men and a dog on a couch bed was horrible. Needless to say I got very little rest. Sunday I sat in the rain all day in a rain suit under an umbrella. It rained so hard that I had to pull the umbrella down as close to my chair as I could to keep from getting wet. It was a really huge umbrella and all that was exposed were my shins. I was just an umbrella with legs. I probably looked ridiculous to everyone in the arena but I stayed dry!

They still steer wrestled in the rain and as luck would have it, Sean was up to ride right as the bottom dropped out of the clouds. Sean's foot slipped out of the stirrup because it was so wet and he hit himself in the ribs with the steers horn. This kind of thing happens all the time, Sean has scrapes and scars all down his right side due to steer horns, but for some reason the steer hit Sean just in the right spot and separated some ribs. Sean went ahead and threw his steer and then the next two, but by that time he was doped up on pain killers so he really didn't know the difference. He finished 6th out of 60 in the average so not too bad. We almost broke even.

One of the girls I was sitting with at the jackpot said to me, "Oh well he's gonna milk that for awhile, You're gonna have to cater to him until it's healed." Well let me just tell you Sean is the Exact opposite of this, which can be even worse! He is rarely ever in pain so when he says he's hurting, then he's hurting. He will not take medicine unless it's forced down his throat, and he will not stop and rest. I really feel like as his wife I should take care of him, but he won't let me and I just end up feeling bad and getting frustrated and he stays in pain.

Thank goodness he decided not to go to the jackpot on Monday, so we drove home Sunday night and arrived at home around 2 am. Monday morning I got up early and drove to Nashville to get Birdie her monthly puppy shots from my uncle the Vet. Erin and Kinley were in town so I got to visit and eat dinner with them.

Mom and I took the Chocolate Children down to our pasture pond to swim for a little while. Our pond was once very small and it is fed by a natural spring. There is a small concrete well that is probably 100 years old that the spring runs out of. There used to be an old house place there and every spring you can see the outline of the house and walk way because the jonquils that they planted around the house still grow in a pattern. When we bought the land we had to tear down the house because the roof had fallen in and the floors were rotted out.

About 10 years ago dad bulldozed down the levy and flooded the ravine behind the pond making it a couple acres big and about 30 feet deep! It's a beautiful pond with tons of fish and very clean, very clear water due to the natural spring that keeps it fed. When fishing from the bank you can actually watch the fish follow and swallow your bait! Anyway I tell you all that to tell you about the strange alien like creatures that mom and I discovered. At first we thought they were frog eggs, then fish eggs, then as we walked along the bank we realized there were thousands of these jelly like balls of all sizes resting on the bottom of the pond and they probably weren't eggs of any kind. Dad pulled up and pulled one out of the water to examine it. It was firm but still jelly like. The inside was clear as ice and tore apart very easily. After looking it up on the Internet we discovered they were called Bryozoans. They are colonies of tiny colonial animals called zoids and appear as gelatinous globs up to the size of a football. They filter water for their food and live on Algae and other microscopic organisms. They are a sign of a healthy pond environment. They are harmless and Crappie and Bream feed on them. So we have thousands of these in our pond and we've never had them before. It must have something do to with all the rain.

So Monday night I didn't get back home from Mom and Dad's until midnight because I stayed to watch Kris Allen on Larry King Live. Tuesday night I traveled to Ft. Smith because Sean and his brother Jason were in a Rodeo there. We didn't go to bed Tuesday night until around 3 then woke up at 8 to run the second steer. Sean didn't do to hot because he was in pain and on his second steer he hit is ribs again and hurt himself even worse. He's officially on Jenna's injured list and cannot rodeo until he is healed.

Last night I didn't go to bed until after Jimmy Fallon because Kris Allen was on. Kris was amazing!! I also had to wake up around 5 am to clean up a dog accident. I awoke from a deep sleep to hear Banjo crying and pawing at the door but I was so out of it I didn't realize what was happening. A few minutes later I smelled what was happening. I felt so bad for him. He really tried to hold it too. So I awoke from my sleep and cleaned the floor and went back to sleep for an hour and am now a walking zombie.

I can't hold my eyes open to type anymore. I'm going to turn my big chair around and pretend to look out the window and sleep. Not really but I wish! Gonna go get some caffeine!

American Idol Finals!

Yeah um... I forgot to vote last night. I watched AI at the normal time (no DVR) and thought to myself, I have four hours to vote. I'll wait two hours then vote so I'll get through...then I forgot and remembered around midnight while I was asleep in bed. Then I had this amazing dream that Kris fell in love with me and we had this secret love affair. It was great, and by the way I wasn't married in this dream... so I didn't dream cheat. OK so on to the important things.

Kris had an amazing night minus the last song that Kara co-wrote. It wasn't very good. It was really lame and way to high for either singer. The fact that whoever wins has to use this song as their first single, really makes me sad. It's really not either one of their styles. Kris' first song was AMAZING. He is so musically talented. The fact that he can play the guitar AND piano really makes me like him even more.

Adam had a great night too minus the last song. The first song really creeped me out and I said to Amanda (who was at my house watching it) "He totally should have played Edward in Twilight" Then Randy said it reminded him of Twilight so It wasn't just me thinking that. It was so creepy with the trench coat and the fog. The trench coat made me think he was going to pull out a rifle at any minute and start shooting and the fog made me think he was walking through a graveyard. And I didn't realize that Adam didn't blink until BooMama pointed it out. Oh my gosh it all makes since now! Adam IS a Vampire! I wonder how old he really is...I bet he isn't a vegetarian vampire either...I wonder if he has a human lover! Oh this is too much! (All references to Twilight)

OK so anyway back to real life. I thought Adam's second song sucked. He sang it on key and didn't miss a note but obviously this isn't Adam's genre and his voice sounded really weird with that type of music. The producers really shouldn't have picked this song for the finale for Adam. I really enjoyed Kris' second song. I agreed that it was a little light for the finale but then again, the producers picked the song so what was he supposed to do with it? Make it a ballad??

Over all I think both guys did great. I think Kris is more of the "idol" type and Adam is more of a rock guy. Adam should go on Broadway and leave the mainstream pop to Kris. I can't wait until tonight. I think we are going to the Peabody downtown in Little Rock to watch the finale! Go Kris!

WooHoo

WOOHOO! Kris made the finale!! Did anyone else get the feeling that the judges were disappointed that Kris made it to the final two?? Or was it just Simon and the face he made when they announced it was Kris? Does his hair remind anyone else of a dish scrubber? No? Just me?

Ok well anyway, I'm super excited about next weeks finale, our Bible Study group is throwing a Finale party and we're going to watch it after a quick Bible Study. I'm sure Got will understand...we want to pull for Kris, especially because of what a great example he will set for Christians and Non-Christians everywhere!

Ok moving on...So how many of you have gotten the sales call that warns you about your warranty expiring? How many of you, like our work phone, get them more than once daily? Well guess what!? Arkansas Attorney General Dustin McDaniel has filed a law suit, along with 40 other states against three warranty companies. They are guilty of Spoofing, which is intentionally making wrong numbers come up on caller ids so us as phone owners can't screen their calls. The are also using automative call lists and contacting people on do not call Lists, both which are illegal. How do these companies stay in business? Does anyone really buy this warranty service? I guess they are about to be out of business, thank goodness I don't' think I can handle any more phone calls!

Well the weather man just forcasted rain for tomorrow.....again, my hands are starting to shrivle we've gotten so much rain. Have a great rainy Thursday!

What?!

Is my ticker broken? I've had 100 people look at my blog since yesterday?! OK mom, if you are really missing me so much that you check my blog 50 times a day, I'll come visit next weekend. If it isn't just my mom, Let me know who you are! I'd like to view your blog too!

OK so American Idol last night.... What it the world is going to happen?! I'm so excited/nervous to see tonight who's going home. I hope it's Adam. Being from Arkansas, of course I want Kris to win, but he just wasn't over the top impressive last night with both songs, only the second one. (which by the way, how awesome was his acoustic version of Heartless?) But I think now it comes down to your fan base and to be honest I think Kris has a HUGE fan base. After last week I'm really beginning to think Kris might make it through tonight. Danny did OK, but I don't like the gravely sound to his voice, it appeals to many people, just not me. I mean he has some major pipes but..not my style. I'm not a fan of Adam so if you are just stop reading right now. I HATE his voice, it makes me cringe every time he screams with his tongue out. I saw some pretty interesting pictures of him dressed in drag that someone had posted on the Internet...I had nightmares about it. I found this on Perez Hilton's Website with this as the tag line "Homolicious American Idol contestant Adam Lambert makes one hideous drag queen. Thank heaven’s he can sing!" hummmm...not my idea of an American Idol. And just for the record, him being homosexual is not the reason I don't like him. I don't like his voice. He can hit the notes but his voice just scares me... and so does his tongue.

I'm a little worried because I hit redial on my phone from 8 to 9:30 last night and never got through. I gave up around 9:30 and then forgot to call closer to 10. I hope my one little vote not going through didn't mess up the whole outcome of the competition! I will be watching Idol tonight and will cry if Kris goes home. I watched idol last night with a guy who works with Kris' wife at Axiom. He has talked to her and she says she gets really hyper on Tuesdays and gets so nervous on Wednesdays that she can't stand it...(Well, uh..I'd be the same way too!) He also said that Axiom sends out mass e-mails for all of it's employees world wide to vote for Kris and they have watch parties every week. Hopefully their e-mails work this week!!! Here is a pretty picture to get the one above out of your head.

Change of subject... I went to visit Rance today at UAMS. We didn't stay too long cause he was tired but he did respond to us, when I told him not to hit on the nurse, who happened to be a good friend of mine and he nodded "Yes!" haha! I'm glad to see he's still in good spirits. He agreed he was ready to get the tubes out of his mouth and get into a real room. His mom said they are telling them he might be out of ICU in 10 days if everything goes smooth. Rance was running a fever when we were there which the nurse said might mean he could have an infection. Let's pray his fever breaks and it's not pneumonia or a serious infection! Please, keep him and your families and friends in your prayers. He's had tons of visitors come in and out. There were about 8 people in the waiting room that had been there all day and people coming in and out frequently. They had a guest book to sign and there were pages and pages of people! It just showed how much Rance is loved and how many people are pulling for him. The nurses kept saying how much of a fighter he was and how great he was doing for what he went through!

You can visit Prayers for Rance and see all the latest updates!
Have a great Wednesday Evening!

He Made it!!!!

I have to admit, I was prepared for Kris to go home last night. I really was. He even said a farewell speech and told everyone how blessed he was to be there blahblahblah. I went to Bible Study last night and after it was over I stayed at Stephanie's and we turned on American Idol and started watching. We both thought Kris was going home. We had both voted for him 20+ times though.

When Ryan called them all out onstage my heart started beating so fast, I got so nervous, which is very abnormal. I never care about reality TV and after watching every season of American Idol I've never cared that much about who stays or goes. I guess because he's from Arkansas and although I don't personally know him, I know people who do personally know him is the reason why I was so emotionally attached to this show. When Ryan said that Kris was safe, Steph and I both jumped up screaming! I was so excited, and relieved that they announced Kris first so I could relax. After that I didn't really care who went home, I was kind of hoping Adam would go but it was Alison, which had to do sooner or later.

I have to admit that I was wrong about Paula. She did a pretty good job even though she lip synced. If I can dance like that and still have a body like hers at her age, I'll be in heaven.

Dear Paula,

I'm sorry I made fun of you yesterday. You impressed me with your dance moves.

Sincerely,

Jenna

Ok so did anyone else notice the pants Adam was wearing? Where do you even buy pants that look like that? and did he paint them on? He also commented on how much he liked his outfit on Tuesday night. Ok, so someone help me out here...is he Gay or not? I googled it and found some pictures of him supposedly kissing another guy that Bill O'Reilly showed on his show..but it didn't look like Adam, so I don't know. Personally I think he is gay.

I got really tickled when Danny started talking about his scream. I really like that guy. I like anyone who's able to laugh at themselves and make jokes about something that is totally embarrassing. It made me respect him a lot more for some reason.

Friday Kris is coming to Little Rock at 11:30 and I'm going to see him in concert! I have a Dr's appointment at 9:15 and they are doing a upper GI to check my stomach (with Celiac Disease I get this done every so many years) Anyway, they aren't putting me totally to sleep, just the twilight sleep so hopefully I'll feel like getting around and going to the River Market for the concert! I really hope they don't take too long doing this procedure. Mom is going to go with me and is super excited about it.

The sun is out this morning and it's a beautiful day. Sean is coming home tonight and Kris made the top three! What a good day and it's only 9!

American Idol Sucks

This morning I would like to gripe about American Idol. First of all I believe that Paula subscribes to a daily vocabulary word e-mail and then tries to use all weeks worth in one AI show.

Paula,

No one knows what your saying. All you do is comment on what they are wearing and how much you love them. You are irrelevant. Kara has replaced you...And did I hear Ryan say you were going to be on stage tonight...did he mean sing? I hope not.. Sincerely, Jenna

Second of all I believe that the judges have their minds made up of who they want to win, and they are really killing AI because it's persuading America's vote. Personally, I believe that the vocals last night, from all contestants were way under par. Danny's scream? I think he was really scared that he was going to mess up the high notes at the end of the song, so scared that he just screamed. Slash and Ryan really set him to fail though. They built up the scream at the end of the song so much I couldn't enjoy the rest of the song because I was waiting for the scream at the end, which was horrible by the way.

Alison actually looked fabulous last night, (first performance only) I'm glad she went to see Adam's hair dresser, which makes me surprised that Adam has a hair dresser, I just thought he cut his hair by himself..in his sleep. By the way, I know Adam can sing and all, but like the judges said last night, he would be perfect for 70's rock singer. (which were all pretty animated and loved makeup just as much as he does) Well this isn't a 70's rock competition, he's not normal enough to be an American "Idol." He needs to go on Broadway..and stay there. Alison actually sounded OK last night but as far as playing Janis Joplin in a movie.. yeah that wouldn't work. Kelly Clarkson, Maybe...

I'm a huge Kris fan being from Arkansas and all, but he didn't do to hot vocally last night. I'm really glad that Randy noticed his awesome guitar playing. He did amazing. I just wish he would've gotten into the song a little more, I think that would've made it less boring. But over all he actually rocked it last night more than anyone because he actually ROCKED IT, with a MUSICAL INSTRUMENT, which is pretty much all rock is about right..the MUSIC?! I voted for Kris probably 50 times. He's the most artistically able person up there. I think he deserves top three over Alison and Adam. Actually he and Danny are probably the two that should be in the finals, but after last night the judges pretty much set Alison and Adam up for the finals with that whole worship service at the end of their solo... gah I'm fired up now. If Kris goes home tonight I quit AI. I'll start watching Dancing with the stars or something...
