I have decided after a long three years of fighting it, that I'm going to try and become....
a cowgirl.
I've decided to try to rope. Yeah I know you're thinking it's a bad idea. But seriously think about it; I'm out at the arena every night sitting in a lawn chair just watching everyone else being cowboys and cowgirls, I basically go to every rodeo anyway and sit by myself in the stands, so why not compete myself?? I mean look:
- I'm very competitive and pretty athletic in my opinion
- I'm there anyway
- It looks fun
- I'm in desperate need of a hobby
- Zero turned out to be a pretty good little horse to start on
- What better way to spend time with my husband?
- And I'd look great in Clothes like this:

Ok that part was a joke. No one wears clothes like that at a rodeo.
The only down side will be
- I'll have to get dirt under my nails
- It can get smelly around horses and cows
- I'll have to get dirty
- I look horrible in cowboy hats
- I'll have to work hard
- I'll have to get dirty
- I might humiliate myself
- And last but not least I'll have to get dirty.
Anyway so I just wanted to let everyone know my decision. I've been practicing all week and it's pretty convenient to have a M-I-L who gives riding/roping lessons for a living when your trying to learn. I've started practicing by roping a bucket. This goal may take a while folks. I'll keep you posted!
