I have decided after a long three years of fighting it, that I'm going to try and become....
a cowgirl.
I've decided to try to rope. Yeah I know you're thinking it's a bad idea. But seriously think about it; I'm out at the arena every night sitting in a lawn chair just watching everyone else being cowboys and cowgirls, I basically go to every rodeo anyway and sit by myself in the stands, so why not compete myself?? I mean look:
- I'm very competitive and pretty athletic in my opinion
- I'm there anyway
- It looks fun
- I'm in desperate need of a hobby
- Zero turned out to be a pretty good little horse to start on
- What better way to spend time with my husband?
- And I'd look great in Clothes like this:

Ok that part was a joke. No one wears clothes like that at a rodeo.
The only down side will be
- I'll have to get dirt under my nails
- It can get smelly around horses and cows
- I'll have to get dirty
- I look horrible in cowboy hats
- I'll have to work hard
- I'll have to get dirty
- I might humiliate myself
- And last but not least I'll have to get dirty.
Anyway so I just wanted to let everyone know my decision. I've been practicing all week and it's pretty convenient to have a M-I-L who gives riding/roping lessons for a living when your trying to learn. I've started practicing by roping a bucket. This goal may take a while folks. I'll keep you posted!

I bet your husband is excited!
I bet it will be fun and you might as well do it while your young right?
When you do get some cowgirl clothes you better post some pictures. Ha!

Cowgirl butts drive me nutts! Ha!
Seriously, cool! I'm pretty sure you will catch right on. Pretty sure you were meant to be a cowgirl...a prissy, dainty one of course!!
I know this post is over a year old, but I just found it at the bottom of your latest post and just have to ask...did you ever learn to rope?? Oh, and, I wore clothes like that when I was a rodeo queen ;-)
Good point, though sometimes it's hard to arrive to definite conclusions
