I love cereal too...so they really picked a great girl to give cereal to!!
I eat like four boxes of whole grain cereal a week...is that sad? ha!
But hey, did you know that Whole Grains can be helpful in maintaining a healthy heart and managing your weight?!! I sure didn't. I also didn't know whole grains may also reduce the risk for diabetes and certain types of cancer.
Only whole grains give you the vital nutrience from the complete grain. As a celiac person, its really important that I get that nutrience from whole grains. Since I can't eat whole wheat flour, I need fiber!! A great way to get the fiber and antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and other nutreience is to make sure the grains I can eat are Whole Grains!!

Ok so I've decided I'm going to take the Whole Grain Awareness Challenge. If you want to join me visit http://www.wholegrainnation.com/ to put your knowledge to the test. I'm going to try to eat 48 grams of whole grain a day... I'm going to start keeping track of it and see if it helps with my digestive system..which Celiac Disease has killed :) So, 48 grams of whole grain a day...that's easy...I'll just snack on Gluten Free Rice Chex cereal three times a day.

Hmm cereal.. We eat a lot of Honey Nut Cheerios, and I'm a fan of those muesli things full of dried fruit and honey, but my old childhood favourite was Cornpops, pure sugary delight. Thanks!
