This is The Queen

For those of you know me, you know me to be a little on the prissy side when it comes to being a country girl. I am a little high maintenance, but only compared to those hard core country girls. I don't mind getting down and dirty every once in awhile, but only if I'm wearing the right clothes and shoes. Anyway I'd like to introduce to you one of the many reason's I can confidently call my self a country redneck.... My House!! or as I call it my Double Wide Trailer Crib. Sean and I decided to go the cheap route and buy a modular home rather than buy or build a house. We also chose this option because it's about 100 yards from the arena and in case you didn't know this already, Sean's summer nights are spent at the arena from after work until around midnight. This was more convenient for me to step out on the porch and yell, "SEAN COME HOME NOW!" In stead of wondering why he wasn't home three hours ago and having to drive to the arena to make sure he wasn't in a ditch somewhere. (I'm paranoid) Another plus side to buying a trailer is when a tornado is in the forecast or a flood is on it's way, we can just hook up and drive off! No but seriously, we couldn't do that if we wanted to, and going the cheaper way now gives me time to dream up and save for my DREAM house. And I promise I already have it drawn up in my head.

Anyway here are a couple pictures of my kitchen and living room. I'll have to get pictures of the outside to you tomorrow. I don't have any on my camera. Can you see the big screen TV? We bought that with some of the money Sean won at the rodeo. I wasn't too excited about a TV that big, I think it's a little over the top for our living room but Sean informed me that "Men Need Big TV's" So I guess I really didn't have a choice in the matter. Most of the decorations in the house were wedding gifts. I was really lucky to have gotten such beautiful things. Banjo accidentally broke one of my beautiful tall glass vases last night. He didn't mean too he just fell asleep and rolled over in his sleep and knocked it against the couch table. I was really sad. Every time I think about my cute little home I sing to myself "This is the queen of my double wide trailer With the polyester curtains and the redwood deck Sometimes shes runs and I've got to trail her Dang her black heart and her pretty red neck." haha good ol Sammy Kershaw. But really, I joke about living in a double wide but I'm very proud of our little home. It's perfect for us. We worked really hard to get it looking as cute as it does and I love living there!

I'm really proud of my special e-bay find...my cow skin rug! It's perfect for my living room and the dogs love sleeping on it! It smells good too. It came from the cowhidecorral.com They have some pretty good prices on their rugs, in my opinion. Also a plus for people with new dogs, Birdie had an accident on the rug last night and it didn't soak in (because it's leather) and it cleaned really easily. I was upset and first but then Sean reminded me that is was at one time in it's life a cow and it's had worse things on it than a little puppy pee. Oh and by the way we did decide on Birdie, it just kind of fits her. Her papers show her as "Lil Miss Lady Bird" She's doing really well in the potty department and getting better at sleeping all night. She woke me up once last night and twice Saturday night. Maybe tonight I won't wake up at all!

Well it's 5' oclock, time to go home. I hope you have a great Tuesday, It's been slow at work and I've got tons of dishes to look forward to when I get home! We'll be at the arena all night tonight, I'll have pictures to show tomorrow. Before I go today I'd like to brag on my children one last time (for the day) We're very proud of Birdie for only being 8 weeks old and already loves playing in the water. And Banjo, who learned to fly!

It's a girl!

What a beautiful weekend! Friday Night Sean Left for a Rodeo in McAlister OK, and Banjo and I enjoyed a relaxing evening watching TV and Reading. Apparently Banjo decided to get into the Trash Friday Night to dig out his old toy I threw away. Saturday Morning I awoke to a kitchen floor full of trash, thank goodness none of it was food. Banjo did find the toy and did play with it until it was shredded into tiny pieces. Saturday morning I did a little work then went off to Wally World to buy some flowers for my porch. Here are the before and after pictures. (notice, Banjo Helped)

Before..

And After....

These cute pillows I found at the Wal-Mart home and garden center. They had some of the cutest designs! They are for the outside too! Nice and waterproof. Banjo found the chair pretty comfortable to sit in, although he knows better to do something like that!

Saturday was the most beautiful day I've experienced in a long time. Banjo and I went down to the pond and just enjoyed the day. The breeze was blowing and the temperature was perfect. It sure made me in awe of what my God can do. It's really mind blowing to me that He could design something so beautiful. (Notice my view from the porch in the before and after pics)

Congratulations to Sean for winning the CRRA membership rodeo with a time of 4.0!! There were 36 guys who entered the Steer Wrestling. That was much needed Money!! I'm very glad he's so great at what he loves so much! This picture is from 2004 or so. The CRRA Rookie of the year. (the only rodeo pic I have on my computer of him)

Saturday afternoon Sean and I traveled to Conway to pick up our new baby girl. I want to call her Birdie and Sean likes that too but thinks Birdie & Banjo might be confusing for the dogs to distinguish during hunting season. (I don't think so) So we don't know her name yet, she's just Puppy for now. She's the spunkiest puppy I've ever seen. She's scared of nothing! She tries so hard to play with Banjo, but he doesn't really care for her just yet. She bites his tail, ears, feet, lips, & just about any part of Banjo she can get too. It's really funny to watch them together. I swear he rolled his eyes at her last night when she bit his tail. This morning I put them on the porch to play and went inside to get ready for work and when I went to check on them they were in the middle of the pasture playing with the horses. Somehow the little puppy jumped 3 1/2 feet down from the porch and followed Banjo out to play.

Sunday I visited my Grandparents in Ft. Smith. I dropped off my Tahoe to get it fixed at my Grandpa's Body Shop. (Treadway Body Shop, Ft. Smith AR) Sean backed into it a few weeks ago. I had a great time visiting and hope Gramma gets well soon, she broke her hip a few weeks ago.

Now on to Politics & Religion...

This is a direct quote that I lifted from Yahoo.com's coverage of president Obama's speech to the Turkish Parliament, "In a 2003 interview with the Arab news network Al Arabiya, he [George W. Bush] said: “I believe that all the world, whether they be Muslim, Christian, or any other religion, prays to the same God. That's what I believe...." So as a "Christian" our current, and past presidents believes that all religions pray to the same god? hmm.. I disagree very much so. What do you think about our presidents saying this?
Richard Land, president of the Southern Baptist Convention in a interview with the Washington Post about W.'s statement in 2003 said "We should always remember that he is commander in chief, not theologian in chief. The Bible is clear on this: The one and true god is Jehovah, and his only begotten son is Jesus Christ." Another reverend pointed out that "The personalities of each god are evident in the cultures, civilizations and dispositions of the peoples that serve them. Muhammad's central message was submission; Jesus' central message was love. They seem to be very different personalities." I've talked to a lot of people who are very worried about our Nation's Leaders and what the believe. As a Christian I know God is in control and he will make sure I do not have to go through anything I cannot handle. I know he will protect me and everyone who follows Him. Regardless of what our leaders think, we should pray that they choose the right path and make the most moral decisions. God is in control, not the President.

I guess I should've started a blog a long time ago, apparently I have a lot to get out of my head. Maybe my posts won't be so long in the future.

My New Blog

So after checking out My cousins Blog for months and months I've decided that blogging looks way more fun than work. So it's Friday, and after a REALLY long week of dealing with one difficult account I've decided to "take the day off" and sit here to create a blog. Just don't let anyone at work have my blog address and I'll be fine.
My Hopes are that this blog will allow me to run into all kinds of people who can whine with me about Celiac Disease and how wonderful it is. For those of you who don't know what celiac disease is (which you all do because probably only three people are reading this, and they are all family) "Celiac Disease (CD) is a lifelong, digestive disorder affecting children and adults. When people with CD eat foods that contain gluten, it creates an immune-mediated toxic reaction that causes damage to the small intestine and does not allow food to be properly absorbed. Even small amounts of gluten in foods can affect those with CD and cause health problems. Damage can occur to the small bowel even when there are no symptoms present. Gluten is the common name for the proteins in specific grains that are harmful to persons with celiac disease. These proteins are found in ALL forms of wheat (including durum, semolina, spelt, kamut, einkorn and faro) and related grains rye, barley and triticale and MUST be eliminated." http://www.celiac.org/
Some long-term conditions that can result from untreated CD:
Iron deficiency anemia
Early onset osteoporosis or osteopenia
Vitamin K deficiency associated with risk for hemorrhaging
Vitamin and mineral deficiencies
Central and peripheral nervous system disorders - usually due to unsuspected nutrient deficiencies
Pancreatic insufficiency
Intestinal lymphomas and other GI cancers (malignancies)
Neurological manifestations
Gall bladder malfunction
Other associated autoimmune disorders:
Dermatitis Herpetiformis (DH)
Insulin-dependent Type I Diabetes Mellitus
Thyroid Disease
Systemic Lupus Erythematosus
Liver Diseases
So, as you can see, Celiac isn't fun. I have an Iron Deficiency and no matter how hard I try to keep away from gluten I still get it Somewhere!! I'm positive I have lots of other vitamin deficiencies but I hate taking vitamins so I don't really have room to complain. A week ago last Wednesday I was diagnosed with Hypoglycemia too so that's another thing I have to look forward too, it's not too bad though, just more regulations to my ever shrinking diet.
On a positive note I'd like to give you a few pictures form Mine and Sean's wedding on June 7, 2008 and our honeymoon in Aruba.

As you can see we had quite a time. The picture of the rock stack is what all the tourist do for good luck in love and fertility. Sean refused to build one, so I did while he wasn't paying attention.

We had a blast except when Sean disappeared for a couple hours and I thought he was dead. I even went as far as trying to file a missing person's report with the hotel, but they wouldn't let me until 24 hours had passed. (I guess these things happen a lot) Apparently After the Casino Closed at 4 am Sean tried to comeback to the room but didn't have a key and I was already asleep in the room and never heard him. He decided he would go down to the beach and sleep on one of the comfortable hammocks. I woke up around 5 am and couldn't find him. I went to search the beach around 7 am, and around that same time, Sean decided to check to room and of course, we missed each other. So he decides I'm probably still asleep and that he would walk across the street to McDonalds and get a egg McMuffin. At this point I'm hysterical and frantically asking everyone I see if they've seen him. I decided that He either drowned while taking a midnight swim, or got mugged while trying to walk next door to another casino. around 9 am I called my parents and just cried and cried. I hadn't even been married a week and Sean was dead. As I'm on the phone with my parents, Sean walks in and can't figure out what is so wrong. He apologized and felt really bad and we decided we would just stick together for the rest of the week. (the next week I checked my debit card statement and found an 87 dollar charge from the hotel for calling the USA for about a 15 min. phone call)--thanks Sean. Other than that we had a wonderful time Snorkeling, Deep Sea Fishing, Sightseeing, Swimming, Para sailing, Gambling, Drinking, Eating, & Getting Massages. But after 8 days of gambling, swimming, fishing, and looking for Natalie Holloway (and Sean) , we had to come back to reality.

Right after we arrived home, Sean bought us a Wedding present....Banjo.

I've been in love with him ever since. He's now almost one and tomorrow he will have a new baby sister. We will pick her up in Conway and I Cannot Wait for him to have someone to play with!!

This is Banjo at 8 months old. (just so you know I will be using this blog as other mothers do, posting blogs about what their child did today, or how much they are growing. I consider Banjo my child and you will be updated on how much he is growing and what his daily activities are.)
So until the next post...
Jenna
