Please Pray!!
Rance had an accident last weekend that has left him with a broken neck and damage to his spinal cord and carotid artery that has left him paralyzed from the chest down. If you could please pray and pray hard for Rance and his Family. I know the power of prayer is strong, so please keep him in yours!
“ Give thanks to the Lord and pray to him. Tell the nations what he has done. Sing to him; sing praises to him. Tell about all his miracles. Be glad that you are his; let those who seek the Lord be happy. Depend on the Lord and his strength; always go to him for help. Remember the miracles he has done; remember his wonders and his decisions. You are descendants of his servant Abraham, the children of Jacob, his chosen people. He is the Lord our God. His laws are for all the world. He will keep his agreement forever; He will keep his promises always.” (Psalm 105: 1-8)
“this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.” (1 John 5:14-15 NKJV)

Wanna do my laundry?
nd Mom called to say she was deathly sick throwing up so Sean would have to take me to the doctor for my Upper GI. Sean totally vetoed the Kris Allen concert so after throwing a fit, he still won and we went home. I was still a little high from the medicine so my persuasion techniques were a little off. I did get to go wander around Bed Bath and Beyond looking for bath mats for about 15 minutes. I think I lost track of time because Sean had to come looking for me. I bought a candle that i totally didn't need. The people that worked there probably thought I was some kind of druggy.
When we got home we got the horses and took off for Crockett TX, with a quick stop in Carthage TX to pick up his brother. For those of you were like me and have no idea where Crockett is, It's about an hour west of Lufkin. It was sunny and hot down there in TX. It's been a year since I lived in Houston and man I forgot how much like Hell it was in TX. It was probably 95 degrees and sticky. It kind of made me miss the rain, but not really.

The rodeo Friday night was a big disappointment. Frosty, Sean's
horse, has been standing in water for the last three weeks in the pasture and decided he didn't feel like running Friday night and both Jason (Sean's brother) and Sean never caught their steers. Frosty got his way and got to stay home in the pasture for the Saturday Night Rodeo and Sean rode another horse. He placed third in Lafe, AR (near Paragould) I didn't attend that Rodeo, which further proves I'm bad luck because Sean wins money when I don't go and wins nothing when I do go.
It was very muddy in Lafe and Sean brought home his clothes in a Plastic Bag, soaking wet, covered in red mud. I guess he isn't capable of doing his own laundry. I doused his shirt in spray and wash and decided to just hang his jeans over the porch rails and let the rain clean them off. I'm soooo not in the mood today to mess with mud right now, I deal with it on the floor enough, especially since Arkansas turned into a rain forest..so I'm just leave his shirt soaking in the sink, the jeans on the porch and his boots in the rain and go take a nap.

Happy Mothers Day
My mother has devoted her life to me and my two sisters and for that I am forever greatfull, one day I hope I get to return the favor. My mom is my best friend and I talk to her daily, sometimes more than that. Hopefully she doesn't care I call her so much, because sometimes I think I really get on her nerves..ha!
Some of the things I remember as a little girl about the things my Mother did for me were simple things, that really meant a lot. She would read to my sister and I the same books over and over every night and then rub our backs and sing lullaby's until we fell asleep. My favorite thing my mom would do when I was little was surprise me at school and pick me up to go eat during lunch. I always felt so special when that happened. Mom would also pack my lunch every morning and put little notes in my lunch box, cut in the shape of hearts that said, "I love you" or "have a great day." Anything we wanted, anywhere we wanted to go, Mom did her best to get it for us, as long as it was within reason. During church when we were too old for nursery but to young to understand big church, mom would let us lay in her lap and she's take her necklaces and tickle our faces with them to keep us happy. It felt so good! I thank the Lord every day for putting me into a wonderful family full of amazing women.
I know I am a wonderful mother to my Chocolate children but I can only pray that one day, when I have human children of my own, they will feel for me, as I feel for my Mother.
And for some reason I feel I should end this post with an Amen. Amen.

Where I Live
and it looks into the Dining area of the Kitchen. I painted the kitchen green and I love the color! The original color I had picked out for the living room really complimented the green but looked as Sean said like "baby poop brown." It was not anything like what I expected it to be. Since I had already bought the paint We used it in one of the extra bed room, Sean's hunting room, and it fits nice in there. I had Sherwin Williams tone down the paint color and it turned out to be a yellowish tan. I love it in the living room but for some reason in the hallway it looks like mustard yellow. I think it may be the light fixture in the hallway that gives it that tone so I bought a fixture to replace the old one, I just haven't done it yet.
, followed by a picture of the sofa table behind the couch. I'm saving up my money to purchase the sofa table that goes with my TV Bombay table and my end table. The sofa table I have now is from my aunt. I got a lot of good furniture from her when she moved into her new house. There is also a coffee table that goes with my furniture that looks like a big trunk. I love it!
This is the front wall of the living room, It's not quite finished yet. I am looking for a big frame to put all Sean's buckles in above his saddle and I want to take some pictures of the dogs and put them in a big frame on the other side of the TV, but until then It's just a blank boring wall. The wall to the right has a picture of a dog and some cowboy boots. It's framed in a beautiful leather looking frame with a real pretty brown matte. I put a John Wayne wall decal quote above the picture that reads, "Courage is being scared to death and saddling up anyway." It's one of my favorite quotes.
These are the two end tables. As soon as I can save up money I'll have two that look like the picture on the left, and Sean's buckles will be on the wall as soon as I find a frame that I like.

This is the view from my kitchen table into the living room.
And of course, what post about my house would be complete with out pictures of the Chocolate Children and their favorite things, toys and food. They were begging to get in...such sad faces, I can't resist sometimes!!
Well that's it for now! Hope you enjoyed my small, but cozy living room. Thanks for stopping by! Go see Kelly's Korner for more gorgeous living rooms!
