I'm a Wuss

Yesterday I discovered I have a vasovagal response. Actually I always knew I had one I just didn't know it had a medical term. In laymen's terms Vasovagal syncope is when you faint. A vasovagal response it something that triggers your involuntary nervous system and causes you to faint. In my case it's seeing or feeling any foreign object enter through skin, such as a needle or a knife or oh my gosh I'm gonna faint again just thinking about it.

Wanna know how I found out was it was called? Well I went into the Doctor to get some tests done for my Celiac stuff and I was required to get an IV. I knew all week I was going to get an IV so I prepared my self. I got into the little room where they give the IV and the guy doing my IV was a student, which made me a bit nervous. He kept putting the rubber band on my right arm, then my left, and couldn't find a good enough vain, ya'll I swear I'm getting woozy thinking about it!

I got really nervous because he was having trouble but luckily another tech took over. I took a few slow breaths and started to read the poster on the door as she did her job, trying to not think about what she was doing.  She finished her job and I was fine, then all of the sudden I started getting a little light headed...then the room started spinning. She asked me if I was going to pass out and I said yes then I heard, "Ok, she's gone." and then everything went black.

I was having a peaceful dream. I don't remember what about but my dogs were there. And I'm pretty sure that there was an orchestra playing. My body was relaxed and I felt so good. All the sudden I snapped back into the room (they had to use the smelling stuff) And I didn't feel euphoric anymore. I was board straight leaning back in the chair with every muscle in my body as tight as it could get and I had no Idea where I was.

Since this has happened about four times before, I realized quickly I had just passed out. The first time it happened I was 18 and I woke up and bawled for 14 minutes because I was so scared. I'm a pro at it now.

After my blood pressure rose back to normal, after all the sweating and weakness subsided, I came back to my senses and I was so embarrassed I wanted to faint again. There were like five nurses/technicians helping me and there were people standing around looking. Two women in wheel-chairs out in the hall got a big kick out of it. They had wash cloths all over me and had put me on a wheelie bed and keep taking my pulse.

I was so embarrassed.

So anyway I found out it was called a vasovagal response because the nice technician who helped me explained that it happens all the time and you can't help it...but I really think she was just trying to be nice.  It probably never happens and they probably think I'm a wuss.

Sean said I was a wuss.

He's the Wuss.

Oh well have a great Thursday!

Post of Many Photos

**Edited to add Tuesday's Blog Hop of Favorite Photos!  Since these are my most recent, they are automatically my favorite :)  Enjoy!**

Well Guys and Gals, It’s getting close to Hunting Season. In a few short weeks I will be a deer/duck widow. My husband will go off into the hunting woods and never come back again…until next spring…and then Rodeo Season Starts. So basically I don’t have a husband:)

haha..check out Biride's eyes.  I guess even dogs can take bad photos...she looks as if she can't stand me..aw

Anyway Yesterday I went a long with Sean and his friend to the Bayou Meto in Stuttgart Arkansas, the Duck Capitol of the US of A. We rode around all afternoon in search of some good hunting spots for the upcoming season. I told Sean I would be happy to go hunting with him as long as it wasn’t cold and I didn’t have to get up early... looks like I won'' be hunting
I’m glad I took my camera with me because the trees were breath taking. I took a million pictures.

Check out my new waders. I borrowed them from a friend and they are a youth size. Youths don’t have curves Like I do so they fit a little awkward.

Oh and "The Beard" is back. I will have to kiss a 'Santa Clause' like face for the next four months. It’s a horrible life I live.

Birdie took her first ride in a boat and LOVED every minute of it. She even dove off the boat a few times to get the training dummy. She happily and quickly bought it back, and the skunk smell followed shortly.

Banjo had a good day too. He isn’t too excited about the upcoming season with his Hip problems and all.

We also saw the above pictured beaver dam, which was pretty neat.  With all the rain we’ve been getting here lately the water was so deep we could barley stand in some areas, so the puppies got bored in the boat.

By the end of the day we were all wet, cold, and tired and finished up the evening by eating some Awesome Mexican food!

Have a Great Day!!

Stinky Puppies

I came back to Central Arkansas so Excited to see my Chocolate Children. I was missing them terribly. I just couldn't wait to roll around in the floor and play with them like some idiotic person that was too obsessed with their dogs. Oh yeah...and I was excited to see Sean too.

When I arrived at my house I discovered a new species of amphibian.   The ever so scary Green Window Frog.

The Green Window Frog clings to your sliding glass door at eye level so when you go to open the door to pet your every so loving chocolate children, the Green Window Frog is there staring at you with his beady little eyes, waiting patiently to startle the bageezez out of you.

He also leaves behind a nice trail of slime, forcing the homeowner to finally break down and clean the sliding glass door.

So anyway...  When I finally got past the Green Window Frog to love on my Chocolate Children, I couldn't help but notice an unplesant skunk like smell.

"Sean"  I called out from the porch.  "Did you forget to tell me something about the Dogs??"   "Oh Yeah.  They got sprayed by a skunk."

So all that loving I wanted to do on my dogs I will have to postpone until I can get the smell to go away. This happened to Banjo last year around this time. It was 10x worse last time though, he was sprayed right in the face. The skunk got real upclose and personal with nosy Banjo. I think this time Banjo knew what he was up against and just didn't get away in time. Birdie got the majority of the skunk spray on her side, it got on her brand new collar too. Guess I'll have to get her a new one. Banjo doesn't smell that bad. I think actually Birdie was the only one that got sprayed and then rubbed up on Banjo.

I bought some Skunk begone, vinegar, baking soda, and tomato juice. I'm gonna try everything!! Last time it took about 3 months for Banjo to quit smelling! Banjo didn't sleep in the house at this point in time so it wasn't a big deal, but Birdie has never slept outside so I feel sorry for her. I'll resort to shaving birdie if I can't get the smell out with all the ammo Ive got!! I can't leave her spoiled little rear outside for too long!!
