Happy Memorial Day weekend! It's another normal weekend for the Thomas', another normal rodeo weekend that is. The only exception is that this is a three day weekend instead of just two. Right now I'm sitting in the back of the trailer on my lap top waiting for everyone to finish eating, we just left Paris, Ar and are heading back to Talihina OK, which is where we were this morning. (just for the record our trailer has living quarters in it, I'm not just sitting back here with the horses, I'm in bed in the air conditioning)
This is Cain, His dad bulldog's with Sean. His mom Amanda is a good friend of mine. He's 4 and he is precious! I hung out with him all night while his mom and dad were riding.
Sean was up in Conway last night. The steers there had never been run before and it was a sight! Most of the steers started bucking once the boys touched them, it was funny. Sean rode his horse all the way to the back end of the arena before he got off onto the steer. It really scared me, I thought he was going to slam into the fence or get run over by the horse who had run out of arena. Sean didn't get hurt though and was placing third when we left. We just got a call that said he was pushed out of the money by someone with better time tonight. He placed 5th here at Paris tonight and one his money back from last night and tonight though so good deal Sean!
It rained tonight and everything is covered in mud. We've put all our clothes and boots in trash sacks and are all just water logged. I really hope it doesn't rain tomorrow. We are attending a jackpot, then we are headed to Checotah OK for another jack pot Monday. If you read my blog you'll see that I mentioned that Sean forgets to tell me where we are going sometimes. Well he forgot to tell me about the Jackpot on Monday so I didn't bring enough clothes, especially if it rains. So I may be making some trips to Wal-Mart for clothes.
We brought Birdie with us this weekend! I love having her around. She's so much fun and so sweet. She's slept almost all day in my lap. Well the boys are back from eating. We're about to be on the road again.
