My Dogs are Funny Animals. They both have unique little personalities that constantly crack me up! Banjo alway has a "toy" in his mouth and it's almost as if holding something in his mouth is a security blanket for him.
Birdie has a mind of her own and is of a free spirit. She doesn't have to have her humans around her much. Like this morning, I was watching her out the window to see what she was up to. She weaved back and forth through the pasture and was following a hot trail. I couldn't figure out what she was doing so I watched her for about 10 minutes. She ventured far out into the pasture over 300 yards and suddenly came Running back head in the air, tail wagging, and something in her mouth.
She ran onto the porch and proudly presented me with a large mouthful of geese feathers, to which I thanked her for and she went on her merry little way.
On my lunch break we started playing a game, which I thought I'd take pictures of. So this is Birdie learning Hand-eye coordination...or mouth-eye coordination rather.

With a piece of food I made her sit and then threw it up into the air....And she looked at it real close...but didn't open her mouth. It hit her in the chin and then fell to the floor where Banjo was greedly waiting to gobble it up.
Take two.... she missed entirely but Did open her mouth... I kind of like the deer in the headlights looks she's giving in this picture...And the way her ears curl back like a Longhorn's horns.

And finally She got it!! (and I can't believe I actually got a picture of the food actually in her mouth) Banjo tried for the food too but was too slow.
And after a few more times she never missed again.
Arrgf..the Big Dog and his big chops caught it first time. Are those lips just not so kissable!...no? Ok then.

So now...don't you feel good now that you totally just wasted three minutes of your life reading about my lunch break and how I sat on the porch and threw food at my dogs?! Good Glad I could entertain you. :)
ps. It was raining when I took these pictures, that's why their hair is matted...I don't just let them run around looking like that any regular ol day. Ok I have to admit that that sentance makes me sound like a manaic obessesd with her dogs, while actually I'm just using them to replace the hole in my life that would be filled with Children if only children were hasslefree and would let me throw food at them.

My kids would let you throw food at them. They would probably love it and laugh hysterically.

Nice work on the photos as always! It's okay to love your pooches as much as you do.
